I love this photo, because as of right now the Airport link is closed due to flooding, whilst it's glaring billboard shines on in the back ground.........
I'm flying tomorrow but it seems to have worked itself out now.
Check out the footage of Bardwell Park station in this link:
Sydney storm: rough water stops rescuers from using boats to reach trapped train passengers

Do any cities handle rain well? This city can't handle rain and our airport is just the tip of it.
Helluva storm. Thick layer of snow up the mountains too.
AFF regular Erkpod tweeted that his train hit a fallen tree! Thankfully no one was hurt.
Do any cities handle rain well?
I know Brisbane city shuts down with a fraction of the rain received in Sydney.

...... Do tell what fraction of rainfall shuts down Brisbane? The highest rainfall recorded yesterday in sydney was 143mm. Most areas were less than 100 mm, around 60 mm or less.
So what fraction shuts down Brisbane city? 10% - 6-14 mm, 20% 12-28mm. Brisbane had 300 mm over 3 days in 2011 and that didn't shut down the city. I know because my grandfather was able to make the trip from the city area to his funeral south of the city. That ain't a fraction of the rainfall Sydney had yesterday.

I was here in 2011. I couldn't get from Central to Toowong in the morning. Walked to Milton Station and gave up as the water was everywhere. Went down to the river to have a look and walked back to Spring Hill. The city itself was a mess with water coming up Edward St.
The city has shut down a few times since with afternoon thunderstorms.
So please spare me your knowledge of Brisbane.
