The app still doesn't work on my Nexus 7 tablet which is running Kitkat 4.4.

Just tested the latest Qantas app update on my un-rooted 2013 Nexus 7 with latest 4.4 update, seems to be working ok on that one.
 
Just updated app on my non rooted nexus 5 and black screen of death....

Uninstall and re install has fixed it.

Jury is out for me on the new look and feel. It's cleaner but I am hanging on my F upgrade result for Monday and the status no longer appears in 'my trip'.

The old version had it as 'requested' which I've been checking a few times a day !!

Off to the full site I go

In with the SMS flight update subscription on the website but out with the flight status on the Android app?
 
The app still just shows a black screen unless it is run via the Google Play app, which is rather inconvenient.

Red Roo, any chance of a fix?
 
Just installed the QF app on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and it works fine. It would be nice if it would show your current seat selections however.
 
Installed the QF app on Mrs prozac's Sony Z1c for her return trip to Brissie yesterday. Some issues as it does not act as a boarding pass at all and at different times the return booking disappeared, the app saying there were "no trips pending". Poor girl thought she would be stuck in a time warp. At check-in they seemed to know about issues and printed a boarding pass for her.

What is the point if there is no boarding pass facility...no QR code or anything like that? You may as well just turn up at the airport with your drivers licence to be issued your boarding pass. FWIW her colleagues with iPhones were able to display boarding passes.

Hmm? The app on my Android device displays boarding passes - albeit with the occasional glitch, but it does definitely have boarding pass functionality.

(Personally I prefer just pulling out my QFF card as it's less coughbersome to deal with while trying to manage baggage and such at the same time.)

I don't mind having booking info available on the phone, but I too would rather just have a paper boarding pass.
 
So will this mean my now defunct Platinum status will now show as Gold:(
 
2 comments on the new app release.

1. It doesn't update my points balance!!! I only just noticed I had the double points promo kick in last week yet the app did not reflect this until I logged out(of the app) and back in. The older version updated when I opened it. Hope this bug will be fixed
2. My trips did not automatically update upon new bookings, but I did notice at least in that part of the app a pulldown menu with a "refresh" option, which did the track. The main screen does not have anything similar, which would help with (1) above. Not very consistent QF


I'd also note that there's no version of the "QANTAS Points" App for android, which is a bit annoying as the droid app doesn't show your current SC level type stuff. personally I think the 2 should be combined, even if as a separate section (eg: "My Account" or "My Points") on the main QF app. seems silly to have 2 apps on apple devices, but only the one for android and why not just have all the info in the one place anyway?
 
Updated today.
Note shows my SC balance, although no visual queues, status is just Generic Qantas Red

Also My Trips is now blank ( My bookings on the web version is not)
Edit: An hour later some of them have come through

Vast improvement !

however on first updating it the app hung which worried me but uninstalled and reinstalled and bang it was quick

like the SC balance at least and the updating points balance(per their promise this is fixed)

Obviously still buggy. Checked in yesterday for a flight today. Multiple boarding passes (3 people) came up fine. Today all I get is a grey screen where they should be. I tend to use my card mostly anyway for BP.
 
How do you find what seat you have preallocated when using the app? I cannot find it at first glance.

There is a view/change seat button in the top right hand corner of the boarding pass screen. Click on view boarding pass after checking in to get there.
