Hi All,
Thanks to other members previous advice, I was able to book business class seats for myself and wife to Europe using Qantas FF points on Cathay HK to Zurich.

However, they have place us 4 rows apart. How can I change the seats so my wife and I are together?

The same thing happened to me and the wife last year and I just rang them and they fixed it then and there.

I just (hours ago) amended a booking that includes a CX flight .... rang QF and they allocated seats on the spot.

i would confirm via CX's manage my booking page that the seat allocations have held. Always better IMO to deal with the operating airline directly, just in case there are any systems communications issues.

You can sign in to CX manage booking without being a member - you just need the CX reference number.

ExpertFlyer is another source of confirmation - all good.

CX online manager doesn't recognise a QF reference so you have to ring QF quote their ref number & they allocate seats

that might be true, however for those of preferring to manage the booking ourselves rather than through a third party, a CX reference number is easy to obtain (either from QF, or CX or other sites).

The QF ref and CX ref are usually the same. Both use Amadeus.

I couldn't select seats on the QF site & the CX site didn't recognise the QF ref I was given so I rang QF & the CSR said " you can't select seats on our site, it's limited, & CX site won't recognise the ref number so what seats do you want & I'll fix it ". He did. The seats are against the reference in my bookings

why the QF agent didn't also supply you the CX ref? unless they can't. But easy to get from CX if you need it.
