Bankwest Transaction account [General Discussion]

Just upgraded to the platinum card in branch today and will have it in a week or so. Hopefully I will be able to put transactions through on both cards (platinum & my old regular card) and do 100 per day. Has anyone been able to confirm whether this will work?

Whats the monthly payment (deposits) to get a platinum savings card?
 
Yep $4k per month. Really a non-issue though. Just means you do the $2k shuffle twice per month instead of once. :p

There re were a couple of useful features from memory (price guarantee for online purchases for example) so will probably keep it even if the old card number can no longer be used.

Can still use otger card until upgrade has arrived/ activeted?

Would also ask friend to upgrade as well, which would make a total of 200 payments per day!

 
They will cancel the standard eventually.

I've got two accounts and have been using the three cards (2 normal, 1 platinum) half this month. Just got another platinum now so 200 transactions per day for a theoretical 1000 points a day.

They did accidentally remove my QFF number from both of my accounts for most of the month so I am not sure what will occur there. I won't chase missed points as long as next month is fine for risk of them doing something about it.
 
Recieved my 8th statement since joining the BW ff group:

- Period of: Aug 12th / 25th
¿☆¿ QFF number: "none recorded"

▪ Transactions made: 200

Send a bank message and they will put your QFF number back on. Claimed there was a glitch.
 
Just got a phone call from a supervisor who I will call "orange" - her real name is a fruit - anyway she advised that fraud department has "blacklisted" my account and refuses to unlock the account for credit card payments - I advised that optus will have a good time with debt collection of the account if they are refusing to let me pay it. I requested a letter advising of the blacklisting and reasons why - explained I would that the to the Telco Ombudsman to discuss if under the terms and conditions of the contract if they can refuse my payments. She was very pushy until I said I was going to take this to the ombudsman. Optus are really starting to piss me off now I can't even pay the bill.
 
Us it even possible to refuse payment of any kind?

They market it as a payment option - false advertising? or descrimination? LOL not sure but will speak to my legal rep on Monday - he will have a great laugh (mainly cause he is paying $0.01 payments but not to optus!!) as long as they unlock the account I don't really care

If they do eventually cancel the standard card what is to stop us saying we want to change back to the standard card,being issued a "new" standard card and continue payments on the "old" platinum card?
 
Just go to the TIO regarding Optus blocking your online payments and ask where in the T&C it states they will limit your payment options.

Did they unblock your account after you advised them you were gonna take them to the TIO? As i am in the same boat with my account blacklisted
 
How did you guys establish your account was "blacklisted" as such?

I couldn't put through online transactions when the bill was due this month and had a cough over online chat however they just applied a credit for the bill amount.

I've set my direct debit back up... Just want to make sure it'll actually work! All looks to be in order online.
