Hi guys,

First proper post here, so please give me a hard time if I get my terminology wrong;)

I'm a Gold FF with Qantas and will be travelling to the US soon (Melbourne to LAX) and then return after a few domestic flights.

I'm also taking my parents with me and would love them to have the opportunity of accessing the QC lounges (at Melbourne and I guess Tom Bradley). I have a couple of guest passes coming from an ANZ CC, but that will only help one way (I'm taking my wife and daughter too).

Upon checking out the Qantas website it says that:

Note: Complimentary invitations cannot be used in the Los Angeles oneworld lounge.

I'm guessing that the passes from Ebay etc won't get my parents in here?

Do I have any other options?

Cheers,
James

This can be an option Admiral Club 30 day membership: Experience Admirals Club Lounges with a 30 Day Membership

Thanks guys!
Wow, so fast with a response!

I've certainly been in the T4 admirals club before, but I guess when I was there it was not as nice as the QC. Ie you paid for food, a second drink etc. And then you had to get across to TBIT for the actual flight.

Is the only way into the QC at TBIT to be a full QC club member?

In the A/C's basic alcoholic drinks are complimentary for members. A QF SG gets a drink chit (or two) on entry - they are generally welcome to head back to the service desk for more

The Admirals Club membership is certainly valid at the LAX TBIT oneworld lounge - with one guest only - but that lounge gets very crowded.

I suggest you join one of your parents up to ther A/C as the guesting benefits are not coughulative.

Also an Admirals Club member can access any Qantas club with at least one guest before a qantas or aa flight.

Wow, That's terrible. I know the old TBIT QC was quite small, but I thought they'd just opened a newer much larger one?

Thanks for the info re: A/C getting into QC before a flight. Sounds like the way to go for ~$99. Am guessing I can just sign up at the AC and then leg it over to TBIT in the hope of getting into the QC

We'll be there nearly 3 1/2 hours before QF94 is due to leave so should beat the main rush?

Thanks again.

Sign up at AA.com before you leave. Much simpler like that.

The reason given is that the F Lounge isn't currently open, so TBIT is currently being shared by all and sundry.

<snip>.

And that way you should be able to use it for the parents in the QC in Melbourne on departure, saving the ANZ CC passes for another time (I'm not suggesting you be cheap on your parents, but as Admiral's Club is good for 30 days and QC entry, might as well get full value out of it)

Great idea.

Sounds like really good value. Can also use it for our domestic flights at DFW and Orlando!

Just a quick Q,

Can anyone confirm that the 30 day membership is valid for a guest as well? i.e., $99 each or $99 for one membership + a guest?
