Purchase SPG Points and transfer to Velocity?

Yep, 4,000 would cost USD$140. Alternatively, buying 30,000 Hhonors points for USD$240 would convert to 4,500.

Although best to check there is actual award availability when you are looking to book before pulling the trigger on paying any cash.
