I have been having problems with QF website regarding award searches. I logged onto my QFF account and tried to search for award flights but only "Search Airfares" was shown, no Qantas & Partner Classic Award Search was shown. Has anyone encountered this problem? Tried to search for award flight availability on QF/BA/CX for USDM booking. Thanks!

Well, I don't know why but my desktop is stuffed with searching for award flights on QF. However, I did the searches on my iPad and they showed but speed very slow. Been having some frustration with searching OW awards for USDM, so will post questions in the USDM thread.

Our 24/7 Reservations team on 131313 can assist you with your search. They can make your booking with a fee, or you can make the booking yourself once you've discussed the options. :)

If the QF booking website cannot deal with your request and you need to call QF CSO seek a fee waiver on the basis that the website cannot cope!!!!

Thanks, Red Roo.

I only wanted to use QF website to search for QF flight availability for booking with US Airways miles / points  - not booking with QF points. So, am afraid to call QF team as they may not help me.

Thanks, Traveller1955. I was searching QF website for QF flights to book using US Airways miles, and not QFF points.

Rather unfair to charge, if your website isn't working, don't you think Red Roo???

I couldn't search tonight either - kept coming up with error messages even after clearing the cache. Whilst I was only looking for research purposes this time, if I had wanted to book, being asked to pay the fee for a phone booking would have *really* got up my nose. If your website is not allowing your customers to book the flights they want online, slugging them a fee is *not* the best way to win them back and placate them.

Thanks, sarvowinner. I changed doing the searches from explorer to chrome. It worked for about 10 searches, then got an error message saying the service unavailable :(

I find that changing browsers works sometimes - change from firefox to chrome etc.

I don't generally criticise Red Roo's posts, even when I disagree with the content, but does this response strike anyone else as pretty damn rude and unhelpful?

No apology for the useless website, and the offer to slug you with a fee to book when they can't get their own house in order. I understand Myrna is looking for USDM routes, but they could have easily been a frequent customer.

I think that our definitions of rude differ.
