Qantas Platinum FF to...Silver?

Evening all,

Sitting on the train home and log onto the Qantas Frequent Flyer app to find that it shows my status as Silver. Dumbfounded, I log onto the website and it has the same result.

I have no explanation for this, no emails or other, and as can be seen from my card the membership is valid through October 2015 - last time I checked it is currently June 2014.

FF Service Centre is currently closed so I can't contact them so this is my next point of call. Looking to visit the Flounge this Sat.

What the hell is going on here?
Have the QF Gods decided I and my Flying $ are not important anymore or is this some system glitch...

Whilst I'm up for a laugh, Serious answers would be greatly appreciated.

I think you know the answer.

If you have attained the status correctly (with four ~ for QF flights etc) it is likely to be a computer glitch which will be fixed as soon as you speak to the service centre.

Apart from the initial shock, and frustration that it can't be sorted tonight, the issue will be resolved quickly tomorrow.

His year started Oct 2013 and his has already qualified for WP, hence the 2015 expiry!

It wouldn't happen for re-qualification, but if you go from Gold to Platinum...

Nothing from the FF Service Centre however I received a call from a very kind and polite lady from Private Number QF loyalty (I joke, she was very demeaning and for someone involved in loyalty didn't seen to care about treating the customer with respect)

I qualified for platinum in the first instance, not a renewal.

The mobile apps are rubbish (sorry Red Roo, but it's true). I think the apps need a few more iterations to improve... FWIW I just use the mobile website, which is okay...

Your status drop is a bit odd. Hopefully they get back to you soon.

I have the same experiences... the new app for iPhone is meant to show an upcoming booking, and my partner sees this (for something I booked, but I saw nothing. Then, after taking my most recent flight I started to see it in the app... after it had been flown! And now, back to no bookings... despite several coming up. I like the new FF app, very sleek. Apologies for going off topic.
 
Again Qantas IT sets the Goals and expectations low.. I Mean how hard would it be for QF to release the App to several frequent flyers to trial for a week or three and see what bugs are in it then release once they are fixed?

Why release something that appears to have not been fully tested and trialled.
