After our journey from Saigon to Bangkok on Turkish Airlines in economy/ business we had arrived in Bangkok. We stayed overnight in the Hotel Muse and finally made way across the river towards the Millennium Hilton. There's plenty more pictures on the blog as there are image posting limits on AFF :)

The familiar exterior of the hotel located right beside the Chao Phraya river.

After our flight with Turkish Airlines and staying at the Hotel Muse it was time to head across the river towards the Millennium Hilton. I've heard plenty of good comments regarding this hotel as well as mentions of how inconvenient the hotel is with its location on the other side of the river.

As our taxi arrived outside the lobby we were greeted by 3 staff as they offered to collect our luggage and escort us towards the beautiful and busy lobby located inside. I approached the Hilton Honors desk and was greeted within seconds as I handed over my Honors card, passport and credit card.

We were allowed a early check in at 9am and was informed of a upgrade to a executive room on the 35th floor with fantastic views of the Chao Phraya river as we were handed our keys and escorted to the lifts.

Even though the Millennium Hilton has aged very well the room was kept in superb conditions.

The bathroom was large which featured a bathtub and separate shower with the toilet cubicle being enclosed in its own stall. Behind the vanity area there was wooden blinds that could be opened which was a great concept of space although it would be bothersome if you had to share a room with another person.

The shower stall and bathtub.

Bathroom vanity and wash area.

Enough snapping of hotel pictures, we decided to venture out towards the Grand Palace and join every other tourist who were there to embrace the sights of Bangkok. You guys must be thinking oh, how original of you but we just wanted to see the must see's and reserve the remaining time to shop and eat!

We caught a taxi from the hotel and asked the driver to take us to the Grand Palace and going with what the prophecy's have said he tried to take us elsewhere which was met with a firm no and I ensured he took us to the Grand Palace...... you buy opal? NO.

We arrived at the main entry point and slowly made our way towards the ticket counter and handed 1000THB (30AUD) over in exchange for our tickets inside. The place was crowded with tourists of every nation and as we made our way inside towards the palace the strong aroma of incense took over which caused the majority of people surrounding us to cough and sneeze.

Inch by inch, we made our way around the holy site, many times bumping and brushing shoulders into people. I was wary and ensured my belongings were kept in my right pocket and for extra caution I had my hand in my pocket the entire time. The heat, the humidity and the people really took its toll on you and the best thing I did all day was bring a bottle of water which kept me going! The sight was beautiful and amazing, the sun's rays shone down on the golden walls which light up the entire site which was incredible.

Surrounded by golden statues and buildings.

Beautiful scenery and infrastructure.

Water refreshened me! Make sure you stay hydrated and drink heaps of water!

After walking for what seemed ages which was only an hour under the sun I gave up, covered in sweat and the masses of people finally broke me. For the best 1000THB spent all day we pushed and shoved our way through the crowd towards the exit as no one would budge or move to polite "excuse me's" and after saying that a few times in the heat you instantly switch to plan b. All I wanted was food and air conditioning but with a bit of convincing we walked over to Wat Pho to visit the Reclining Buddha.

A spiritual and almost peaceful morning was coming to a end as the scorching sun got hotter and my stomach getting hungrier. A coconut ice cream cart was conveniently located outside the exit point which was the exact cure we needed after a long morning.

Keep that condensed milk flowing!

We needed a way to get back to Siam Paragon for lunch and I wanted to go local so Tuk Tuk haggling was left to me. After five minutes of negotiating and walking I agreed and haggled a 500TBH fare down to 150TBH (my mother would be so proud). We hopped on and held on tight as our driver bolted down the roads with sharp turns dodging incoming traffic and honking his horn. He seemed to find pleasure in us holding on for life and kept honking the horn and gave us our money's worth like he was a F1 racer towards Siam Paragon.

Hold on tight when there are no buckles or seat belts.

After our need for tuk tuk speed on the roads of Bangkok I was never more so happy to be at Siam Paragon and be standing on land as well as knowing we will soon be grabbing a quick bite to eat. The air conditioning was bliss as we headed towards the food court on the lower levels of the shopping mecca. The first stop was grabbing a boba/bubble tea. I went with durian flavour as I was keen to try new things!

Large cup of Durian bubble tea please, interesting flavour.

My hunger was settling so a side of prawn pad thai and gelatine coated mung bean fruits extinguished and bought a smile to our tummies.

Prawn Pad thai.

With our tummies full of food we decided the rest of the afternoon would be spent back at the hotel so a taxi back to the hotel was the most convenient way for us. We had a pretty reasonable driver who took us back to the hotel and didn't tell us the Hilton was closed or want to take us on a safari tour.

The peaceful sanctuary situated next to the spa or as you enter from the river dock.

The Hilton had a special two for one massage pack that included a 2 hour massage and special blue tea for $110AUD which was a very good price which saw us emerge from our rooms in our bath robes and slippers as we headed to the spa. Inside the spa room was 2 benches with a massive circular wooden bathtub which could fit a party of four.

Sari, the senior masseuse began to work her magic as she applied a mixture of scented oils and ensured she was applying the right pressure and intensity as she caressed my back muscles under candle light.

Gentle nudges...Mr Le... your massage is over now!
Oh What? cough. I fell asleep.

Sari invited us to continue and relax by taking a dip inside the wooden bathtub as she went to prepare the herbal blue tea and a fruit platter. We skipped the dip and attacked the fresh fruit's as we made our way back up to the room and decided to check out the executive lounge.

Seating area in the executive lounge.

In the entrance of the lounge we were politely asked our room number by the attendant as she escorted us towards a table in the lounge. The ambiance in the lounge was relaxing which was staffed with very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive staff.

We arrived just as the staff finished preparing for evening canapés and staff insisted we help ourselves to the buffet selection. With a decent variety of food and evening drinks and coughtails we munched and enjoyed the quiet space around us.

Sweets, deep fried canapés, salad and cheese as well as other different variety's were on offer.

Food coma suddenly hit my partner and he retreated back to the room for a nap as I went down to check out the pool. I loved the deck chairs along the edge of the pool overlooking the river as it gave a nice view and definitely was relaxing and a perfect place to snooze! I noticed there was a unique sand area adjacent to the pool for kids to play in as well as a little bar set up.

The outdoor pool is a great place to relax and refresh your senses.

I realised we didn't have any plans for the evening so a quick visit to the concierge desk sorted us some tickets to see a lady boy show at Asiatique by the river. The 1.5 hour show was entertaining with a variety of different act's performed by the transgender and beautiful ladies on stage. Our ticket entitled us to a complimentary drink and fruit platter which was nice. After the show, guest's can opt to take as many pics with the performers at the exit's for a cheap 20THB!

I was hungry yet again so we ventured to china town to dine. I loved the atmosphere of the place with plenty of food stalls and varieties on offer. The temperature in Bangkok at the time of night did cool down so walking around the streets was a pleasant experience! With so many options to choose from we went with a little place on a corner that had heaps of people dine in.

Seafood on death row.

Thai fish cakes which was delicious!

Very hot and spicy seafood tom yum.

Coconut ice cream was a must!

Mango sticky rice to nail the hungry tummy.

It was getting late so we headed back to the hotel as we had to be up at 5am for a date with Full moon, the elephant.

Great TR as always - calorie counting is a serious challenge in Asia~!

Great photography!! Absolutely love the food pics..

Also had a look on your blog and that resort on Con Dao Island just looks fantastic too!

Oh tell me about it! You eat, then you eat and you keep eating its bad! Thankfully the hotels have gym's and pools to work it off and then to start again. Its like a circle, eat, gym and repeat :p

Thank you Zainman!

Mmmm...... mango sticky rice.... might have to have some today :)

It was the best mango sticky rice I had that we ended up getting some takeaway for the hotel munchies later on throigh the night :/

The continuation to the above trip! Thanks for reading so far guys! Theres more pics on the blog for your enjoyment :)

Before heading to Bangkok I've always wanted to have a close up experience with elephant's as they're my favourite animal and after extensive research I stumbled across Tour with Tong who offered In love with Full Moon. Being the elephant enthusiast, being a mahout for a day ticked all the boxes and was the perfect opportunity for me. I was excited and after a few emails with Tong we had a confirmed itinerary.

We were woken at 5:15 am by the front desk and I was surprised as to why they called as I didn't arrange a wakeup call but that aside it was time to wake up and head down stairs to meet Lily our tour guide for the day.

I decided to exchange some extra currency at the front desk which was taken care of by the duty manager and once it was done she handed us two breakfast packs which caught me by surprise - I did observe the couple next to us also ask for a to go breakfast pack but their request was declined as apparently breakfast packs were for advanced requests.

Lily approached the desk and introduced herself with a large smile on her face and asked if we were ready for the experience as we walked to her car. Lily informed us that she had arranged the hotel wake up service as well as the to go breakfast packs which was a very nice gesture of her to do so as we escaped the city of Bangkok.

Before I knew it we were cruising down the freeway at 140Km's per hour under the care of Lily who was very knowledgeable as she explained destinations and sights.

Silence and peace.

The first stop on the way was the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery which is where the prisoner's of war are resting who was associated with the Burma Railway incident. It was a very quiet atmosphere as I stood on the outskirts of land. It was 6:30am at the time so I was still half asleep and the atmosphere didn't sink in until we arrived at the Kanchanaburi bridge over the river Kwai or known as the Death Railway.

Behind the beautiful scenery is a shady and deep past.

Besides us and another four tourists on site the surroundings was awfully still and silent. There air was still as the province and it's people slowly began to wake up. Lily began to explain history and the gruesome past which has made what they have today, it was a mixed feeling morning as I snacked on an apple while taking in the picturesque surroundings.

We were free to explore and walk on the bridge to which I began to walk out towards the centre of the bridge which has a little viewing platform. I observed the other side of the bridge which had shades of green luscious trees as the tracks began the journey into the jungle. There was no wind yet I began to get cold and chills started running down my spine as I kept looking at the still greenery on the other side of the bridge. It was a strange, mysterious and creepy feeling as I walked back to Lily.

You don't realise what the Prisoner's of War went through until you're onsite.

A grilled BBQ was set up besides our car with tempting smells that saw us to be her first customers.

We hopped into the car after our pork skewers and continued our journey until we reached a fruit market so we could pick up some papaya for Full Moon. The market was colourful with unique fruits and vegetables you wouldn't find overseas.

A diverse range of
fresh fruits
such as Durian, Green banana, mangos.

After carefully selecting Papaya's and other fruits from the market, we once again jumped into the car and made the final leg towards the elephant sanctuary. The journey from the market took around 10 minutes to which I was eagerly observing the sights like a child. We found a parking space and Lily ensured our belongings would be safe in the car so we headed outside towards a shaded area to have breakfast.

We headed up a hill and to my right I immediately noticed a parade of elephants grazing with harnesses on their backs ready for tourists and immediately hoped Full Moon wasn't in the parade. We kept walking until we reached a small hut with views of the sanctuary as well as the parade of elephants.

Lily told us to relax as she went to prepare breakfast. I wasn't in the mood to eat but Lily did say we need energy for the day so a light breakfast which consisted of sunny side up egg, chicken sausage, sweet bread and KFC ketchup. To my surprise it was a tasty breakfast as I finished up the entire plate.

Lily returned as we finished breakfast and led us down the hill and towards a secluded brick house to which I saw a black bucket with what seemed to be grains. A small dark man with a cigarette in mouth and a bull hook suddenly approached us which startled me until he introduced himself as Peter.
Peter was Full Moon's mahout and I asked him where Full Moon was to which he pointed towards a grazing elephant about 20 meters (65 feet) away.

My heart was racing and I had butterflies in my tummy as Lily and Peter told us we needed to prepare the pachyderm's breakfast which was oats and grains mixed in with vitamin tablets which we needed to mix with water and use our bare hands to roll into tennis sized balls. We needed to ensure the vitamin tablets were mixed and hidden into the balls so we could eventually feed her later on.

As we nearly completed her breakfast, Peter went to fetch Full Moon. As he stroked her trunk and patted her tummy she began to walk and then proceeded to run towards us. The feelings and adrenalin was rushing through my body, it's hard to describe what it's like when a 7 tonne elephant is running towards you. I wanted to scream in excitement and fear to which the feeling was extinguished as she began to slow down and stop as she used her trunk to sniff and smell the ground as well as greet us.

Peter instructed us to feed the balls of protein to her by holding it up to her mouth and pushing it into her mouth. I was hesitant at first as Peter and Lily giggled on the side, Full Moon was waiting for her food and with nods of encouragement from the locals I gently put my hand into her mouth. She began chewing as her saliva dripped down my hand, to which caused me to giggle and laugh. The feeling was mushy, wet and soft as she chomped on her food and ensured my hand was food free.

She finished up her food very quickly as Lily began slicing up the papaya, we would use this to get to know and bribe her to become our friend. Lily told us other guests usually buy a kilo of papaya but as I was feeling generous I ensured she enjoyed her 4 kilos of papaya to which she munched on and trumpeted in satisfaction.

After her large breakfast of protein and fruits we began to get personal and walk with her, Peter instructed us to grab her ear and gently guide her down a muddy path to which she eagerly followed. She was a cheeky girl who was strutting along and stopping frequently to pluck some shrubs and munch as she walked.

Guiding and walking besides the gentle giant.

We reached a mounting platform where she stood as we climbed up a ladder and proceeded to mount and get use to riding on her neck which is the best and most natural way to ride an elephant. With her prickly neck hair poking my legs she began to walk. It was a strange experience as her muscles and body shifted below and you try to balance on top of her. I didn't realise how high up we were and the tip Peter gave us was to slightly lean forward and rest our palms onto the sides of her head.

As we began getting use to riding Full Moon we approached a steep set of muddy stairs. My heart was racing as she stopped and sensed the area. She had our trust as she stepped down each step, to her credit and skills she made it down safely and was very experienced. Peter rewarded her with a whole papaya as she continued the trek.

A heart stopping sight looking down in hopes that she makes it.

Riding through the little Burmese village in the sanctuary.

Full Moon continued to trek towards the river where she began to submerge half of her body as she refreshed herself in the cold and muddy water, she used her trunk to splash the water around and Peter told us to brace ourselves as she blasted water at us through her trunk. Screams of fun and laughter was the key to unlocking her playful ness as she continued on to soak us and try to shake us off her back.

As I hit the muddy water she extended her trunk and wrapped it around my waist and proceed to pull me towards her as a safety measure. It took Peter by surprise as she's never done it before which indented herself into my heart.

She was a very clever girl who could make the water spiral out of her trunk.

After continuously splashing and playing with Full Moon she sat down and cooled off in the river as we began to bathe, wash and massage her. She enjoyed getting scrubbed with a large brush and would use her trunk to indicate where she wanted to get washed and scrubbed which was met with plenty of laughter from us, she was enjoying herself so much she began to laugh which sounded like a child's giggle.

She also loves posing for pictures.

Hand printing the pachyderm.

After scrubbing her we made some hand prints and applied some lotion to her body while she cheekily scoured around for some shrubs to munch on. For the final time we hopped back onto her as she made her way back to the sanctuary where we first met. It was a long journey as she slowly walked and extended her trunk back towards us and proceed to feel and gently touch my hand.

She aligned herself at the platform where we hopped off and I quickly climbed down to hug her trunk. She stood still and stared at me, it was like I could see into her soul and she could see into mine, I didn't say good bye but see you again as I turned my back and headed towards Peter to thank him.

As I bucked my seatbelt, Lily asked if we wanted to feed some monkeys to which I said yes... big mistake. She drove for five minutes until we reached a vacant red earthy location which was empty to which I questioned Lily where the monkeys are at. Honk Honk, the sounds of the car horn echoed through the vacant land which caused the tree's to come alive as hundreds of grey and brown monkeys of all sizes began to leap from the trees.

They surrounded the car like the police would be surrounding a criminal in a drug bust. Lily handed us bags of boiled peanuts and told us to be cautious as they tend to snatch the food. Why was I getting out? I could just sit there and watch but before I could think Lily opened the car door and gestured for me to get out.

They stopped...I stopped... their eyes caught onto the sights of the peanuts as I began to throw a few at a time in various locations around the car as they leaped and fought each other like crazy scavengers. I turned towards the car and found around ten of them perched on the roof staring back at me. More monkeys started to run out from the green bushes and surrounding and began to leap and try to snatch the bag of peanuts as I dodged them and immediately threw the bag in the air like confetti. It was raining peanuts which stimulated their sense of hunger as they attacked each other with angry screeches.

I retreated back to the car as the other two guys followed behind, it was only 11AM buy my stomach was growling so Lily took us to a local restaurant for lunch.

It was a relaxing and welcoming afternoon as I sipped on my cold coconut and wait for the delightful lunch to be served. The food began to come out and boy the smell was amazing. We started with Penang prawns and then escalated to a calamari and fried egg salad.

Penang Prawns.

Calamari and fried egg salad.

Steamed rice in the shape of a love heart followed which I spooned a generous serving of the Penang prawn sauce on top which drove my tastebuds into a state of euphoria. It was like I was starved of food for a week, the smell and texture of the two dishes went so well with each other and before I knew it the chilli in the prawn dish began warming my body up.

Love heart steamed jasmine rice.

Lily returned yet again with a plate of fish and crab cakes with a sweet tamarind sauce which was hot and juicy as I bit down on the mouth burning piece of deep fried goodness, besides that Lily also had a sizzling dish of pepper chicken which was steaming hot as she placed the final dish on the table. I was in heaven, a massive morning was now complete with the best food I've had while in Thailand, it was a proper staple meal which was a fantastic way to fill us up before the two hour journey home.

The journey home was a fast journey as I dozed off and regained energy. I was woken up as we cruised the streets of Bangkok as Lily said we were about to arrive at the hotel. As it was the final day in Bangkok I asked if Lily knew the best way to get to Chatuchak markets which she happily offered to drop us off. We thanked Lily for her guidance with us throughout the day as we hopped out into the busy and humid street where the market entrance was.

We walked inside and it was an array of colour, smells and culture. People scattered throughout the markets as well as the many assortments of food and clothing stalls. It was mid afternoon and the sun's rays was beaming down which had my eyes glued to a coconut stall which sold fresh iced cold as well as ice cream made from coconut.

Refreshing cold coconuts perfect for the humid weather.

We walked around the large market space and observed the many different and unique things the vendors had on offer - cheap fake branded items, local wooden sculptures, various electronic gadgets and food, a new chapter of food began as we sampled and tasted our way around the market.

Garlic infused local prawns.

Pepper and capsicum chicken skewers.

Banana on a stick dipped in milk chocolate.

With our eye on the time we decided to catch the train back to Sukhumvit station for a walk around Terminal 21 and some catch up on last minute shopping.
A walk around the mall meant a stop inside a eatery, it was like our stomach didn't have a limit as we dined on more food.

Seared scallops in a laksa base.

Lemongrass pork skewers with lime and chilli dipping sauce.

One of my personal favourites - bags of fresh cut up fruit.

Our time was nearly done in Bangkok as we headed back to the hotel to pick up our bags and head to the airport for coughet. Our week has gone by so fast and it was time to head to our final destination in Thailand before heading home to Australia.

What an amazing elephant experience - looks like you had a great time :)

What an exhilarating experience with Full Moon the elephant. And, the lovely looking food, you choose a lot better that I seem to be able! Thanks for the TR.

PS, how did you get on to the details of the elephant experience?

That prawn curry looks delicious...

Oh it was absolutely amazing! the flavour and texture went perfectly with the steamed rice! yum!

What an amazing elephant experience - looks like you had a great time :)

So far from all our travels it has been the best experience we've had! :)

PS, how did you get on to the details of the elephant experience?

I originally wanted to go to Chiang Mai for the elephant sanctuary's up there but since there wasn't enough time I decided to turn to trip advisor until I started browsing for the tiger temple which to our luck Tour with Tong came up! I browsed the many options and tours available on the website until I saw the Full Moon experience! The food in Asia is always tasty and delicious hence why the counting calories :)

We needed to get to coughet from Bangkok and the easiest option was Air Asia as they had a super sale on which resulted fares of $250THB which converts to $8.35AUD per person for this hour flight.

Air Asia operates from the Don Muang International Airport in Bangkok which is also known as the older airport, If your flight arrives at the newer terminal Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and you have a connecting flight at Don Muang (DMK) make sure you allow plenty of travel time between both airports as the journey may take up to one hour.

It takes approximately 25 minutes to reach the airport via car from central Bangkok and there's also the alternative of taking a train to Hua Lamphong railway station which is located opposite the highway which is linked by a foot bridge.

We arrived at the terminal and proceeded towards the check in desk to drop off our checked baggage. I pre purchased 30 kg's (66 lbs) for each of us which was $40AUD when booking the cheap tickets. The agent weighed my bags to which she started speaking Thai to one of her colleagues and wanted to charge me a fee because my bag was overweight. I'm very cough about packing and always book extra baggage allowance or leave a few kilos as savings grace so I played along to her game.

I smiled andtold her to weigh my partners bags so we could see if we could transfer the weight between bags to which she obliged. I had a gut feeling she would try to play her game to which she said we were over 15 kilos and would cost us roughly $90AUD. I had my poker face on and told her it was too much to pay to which seemed to provoke her so she gave me the option of paying or no flight which really didn't bother me so I pulled out my little digital hand held scales and proceeded to weigh the bags myself.

I can tell you that the look on her face was priceless as I weighed and showed her the correct weight of my bag which was 24 kg's (53 lbs) and my partners bag which was at 22 kg's (48.5 lbs). I asked her to grab her supervisor Tom and explained the situation to him to which her face matched the color of her uniform as he apologised for the miscalculations and proceeded to check us in as well as offer us in flight vouchers.

The waiting area.

Without lounge access we found some stores in the terminal and proceeded to check out the items on offer. There was a food court located upstairs although I had cravings for western food as we've been eating huge amounts of delicious Thai food over the past couple of days. I glanced back down at my watch and decided it was time to make our way towards the gate but only after we had a snack on some Mc Donald's and KFC. You guys must be thinking out of all places to eat, why eat there?

I've found that the fast food chains offer different kinds of burgers, spices and meat's in each country so might as well eat and compare the different tastes and textures in each country we visit!
With twenty minutes until boarding I decided to wander and snap up some pics in and around the airport! It was a pretty laid back atmosphere in the terminal as announcements blasted over the speaker system in Thai and English until I heard our flight was about to commence boarding.

One of Air Asia's A320's.

Nok Air's colourful livery schemes.

Our plane was three minutes behind schedule but the crew did a very quick turn around. As the agents were preparing to call our flight to board a sea of passengers from who knows where congested the front of the gate. It was like a scene at a auction, they had their boarding passes in hand and pushing the white card's towards the gate agents which didn't seem to push their patience! They've done this plenty of times and were very strict with their handling procedures.

HOT SEATS BOARD FIRST ONLY!!!
You're not hot seat!!! You wait!!!
Not your turn!!!!

The passengers were closing in and the space around the gate began getting smaller as the heat and temperature of the group started warming me up. I couldn't stand them anymore and shoved my way towards the front with my Priority Boarding Pass and handed it to one of the agents.

She yells something in Thai at the group, looks at my boarding pass, smiles and makes way for me to proceed down the jet bridge. We walked down the jet bridge dripping in sweat like we just came out of a battle.

On board and ready to roll!

I could feel the blast of the cold air con from the little airbus as we approached the door and was greeted by a very gorgeous flight attendant as she directed us to our seats. I finally found my breath as we stowed our luggage in the over head compartments and settled down in the black leather seats with bright red headrests.

A sea of passengers, children and tourists began to flow down the aisle as the metal tube began getting louder with passengers trying to find their seats and finding room for their bags. We and another passenger behind us were the only ones who purchased hot seats which entitle's priority boarding and extra legroom.

A short taxi meant the crew did a very short inflight safety demo as we headed towards the runway and with a slight right turn we soared down the runway left Bangkok.

Planes lined up at DMK.

A nice shot of the airport in the distance.

We departed Don Muang as the sun shined down on the airport.

Once we hit cruising altitude, one of the flight attendants came over and confirmed with us our pre purchased meal selection by asking to see our boarding pass and then proceed to deliver our piping hot meals with a small beaker of water. The meal's were very tasty which I've found to be of similar taste's across the entire company. I pre selected and paid $5AUD for both meals which is a steal compared to prices on board which were $7-8 per item.

Our piping hot meals - roast chicken with vegetables and rice and potato curry.

Hot seat leg room is pretty decent for a short flight!

A very light load on todays flight.

Empty hot seats.

After we finished with our meals the flight attendants quickly did a rubbish sweep of the aircraft as we started our descent into coughet. I was amazed that we didn't encounter any bumps of turbulence on our journey as we glided in a sunny and nearly cloud free journey.

Starting descent into coughet.

My attention suddenly was drawn outside.

Eyes glued to the beautiful scenery.

Turquoise waters and beautiful scenery.

Getting lower with beautiful views of the ocean.

With a bump and hearing the engines roar we touched down 10 minutes earlier into coughet International Airport as we taxied towards a open gate. Passengers already had their seat belts off and were standing and trying to collect their belongings while the plane was still moving.

I watched the flight attendants and they weren't interested in telling the passengers to sit down until we arrived at the gates. With the ever so familiar "ding" the plane was in full movement as the rest of the passengers and us stood up and collected our bags.

The flight attendants thanked us for flying Air Asia as we walked out towards the terminal. Overall a uneventful short flight with Air Asia which wasn't heavy on the pocket if you book in advance and your travel plans are firm. A cheap and quick flight to get to coughet for our final days at the Hilton coughet.

Nok Nok.
