Is there something wrong with this program tier table for new QFF?

Maybe I am missing something but I'm trying to understand this SIMPLER, fairer program and came across this example...

For a WP flying SYD - DFW in business, does he get 9,000 extra bonus points or 11,250 bonus points?

I believe it depends on the booking class ... and what category it falls into.

I don't think so... 9,000 is the flexible economy points for Bronze... maximum Status Bonus will then be 4,500 for Silver, 6,750 for Gold, and 9,000 for Platinum.

(I reckon the table is probably an artefact of when they were still deciding whether to use Flexible Economy or Premium Economy for capping purposes.)

The status bonus? Think it's the same for everything from Flexible Economy up...

The other way to look at it is, flexible economy = 1.0 base earn rate. The status bonus currently is based on 50%/75%/100% of 1.0 base earn rate, and hence the status bonus can only be equal to 1.0 base earn rate.

QF have simply (or not so simply?) stated it in a more convoluted way.

It certainly doesn't seem to match the description of status bonus. It is yet another thing that puts lie to the Qantas claim that this is simpler. If Qantas can't even properly explain how it all works, then there is no way in hell it is simpler.
