Thanks for the find!

Appears to work with fares to Europe as well, and across a range of booking websites (I'm using Momondo to search).

$1303 MEL-FRA-MEL on QF metal in Feb.

Surprised that not many responses from this forum. Pretty cheap deal to me.

That's a pretty good find.
Can't take advantage of it myself but I don't think it will hang around for too long somehow ;)

Definitely some pretty good deals out there, priced for example SYD-DFW-SJU return for 1200AUD ;) A long way to SJU but a week or two under the the Caribbean sun, and then a couple of YUPP fares and all set for WP once again.

I have debated for the last hour.......have decided if it is still there in the morning I will get the CC out

Yes cheap, but you will find resistance for people booking from:
- Not *that* cheap. Yes 33% - 50% off, but not 10% fare etc.
- Not refundable, large deposit required.
- If it was J or F, then people would be jumping up and down. A non-upgradeable (O) class fare with $200++ change penalty is a bit harder to use :)

Good deal for those who get in, but be aware of the restrictions.

Well put Mal

Very cheap and very tempting but for me (and I'm very impulsive when it comes to good value flights!) this just isn't worth it

I caved
Unfortunately GE Money didn't

If these clowns are going to block every international transaction on my 28 deg card, they could at least open 24 hours.

Surprised there isn't some interest in it from a status run positioning perspective, especially as Expedia has a multicity tool.

It's on OzBargain so be prepared for it to be taken down :D

A cheap way of getting to the states for those WP runs :)

Well I'm raging. Fare I wanted is gone (PER-SIN, $480 r/t).

Get stuffed GE Money.

The fare from BNE to LAX was there this morning - I rang cover more to change from a single trip policy (going in August) to a yearly one for my parents and us however was on the phone to them for close to 30 mins and gave up due to the fact it was going to cost around the price of the airfare ticket for the travel insurance for my parents (medical issues) - so lesson is should have paid for the annual policy at the start which was only $50 more. The price on the tickets have now doubled so the error has been corrected

There are still flights from BNE I can see for about $1000 AU.
Still a saving of $500 or so. But not an upgradable fare.

Yeah bne to lax is still a bit over $1000 at times.

Not sure if this fare was pulled or the availability dried up. Could be either really....

Sent from my GT-I9100 using AustFreqFly

Just did a dummy run for MEL-LAX in November and it came out to around $1000. Not bad. I wonder if expedia Ireland always has these types of deals?

I just did a dummy booking for Sept 12. 2 people SYD/LAX return 1823 euro = 2300 AUD. The same flights on Qantas were $3700.
maggies1
