There is now a new URL:
MileageMonkey 0.95022
thanks serfty; until this point I'd been relying on free hosting services, however now real $ have parted hands so things should hopefully be better now.

I'm entirely open to being reminded about rule changes; due to work commitments I haven't followed developments as closely as I should have, and my xONEx tickets have been very much focused around where I need to be and less around "optimisations"! The best way to feed back suggestions for now is via the flyertalk.com thread linked in the tool, or the one I've started on milepoint.com. Flight changes are a different matter, I'm working on getting the data updated...

Re: Questions on WP Partner Gold and mileage monkey

A lot of work has been happening in the background ... and I am hoping the new 0.95024 will be right up to date with routes, cities, airlines etc.

Please post any feedback here, the 0.95022 version is still available for now in case of any difficulties with the new one, sorry about the delay!

Most of the changes have been with the flight data, which should now pretty much match reality. I'm interested to hear about anything which isn't quite right or which could be done better.

It seems I don't have enough posts here to be able to post links, but if you look at the threads on FLyertalk (link from within MM on the top line), or on Milepoint.com then you'll find it. Or try: slfft.org / 0.95024 / award.htm without the spaces!

I have moved the Mileage Monkey updates into their own thread as I know it's a tool many of us use!

It appears someone needs to update the
MileageMonkey 0.95022 site to the latest version.
I don't really have any details of that site; while it may appear to be correct I can't guarantee what versions of MM may be present. One of the challenges is that when someone uses that site, I don't see the usage on the official site - which means that I think fewer people are using MM than they really are, which is not good when I'm deciding between doing some work on MM and doing something else - i.e. at the extreme, if it appears no-one uses MM then I would stop maintaining it :(.

For now, and especially while I'm getting the new version up (& responding to change requests on a frequent basis), unless you're using the official site (slfft.org) then your experience may not match my comments as I'm making changes every hour or two.

I've no specific issues about having mirror site(s) in principle, this certainly helped in the early days of MM when there were server/backup issues. We'd just need to get the points above resolved; i.e. ensuring mirrors are updated in a timely manner, and that I can get a good/consolidated picture of usage across all the mirrors.

New timetables loaded! Also some more usability tweaks. Note that I've adjusted the URL to remove the version number, the new URL will remain constant regardless of version changes which I think will make it easier. Access from slfft.org

(sorry, I'm not able to post links yet...)

I presume this is the link? MileageMonkey 0.95024

Excellent tool BTW. Very handy, helps me greatly.

Thanks - that's the one :).

If you have thoughts of how it could work better, let me know...I can't guarantee all suggestions will make it but it's good to know which direction would be good to cover!

5 more posts to go after this one until I can post links myself :)

I seem to have missed this post of yours. The mirror was setup about 6 months ago when the main site was offline - I originally setup a private mirror as I wanted to access it, but made it public in response to a forum thread.

I did send you a PM on FT at the time but I'm not sure if you received it. The original offer of access to the domain and the hosting account that it's on still stands :)

In the meantime I've updated the mirror to the latest version. There are also statistics available if you want access to those.

Many thanks! Apologies if I missed that :(. YGPM - or will have once I send it (might be a few days). I need to register a google map API key for the alternative domain; previously I've used slightly different versions of the main HTML file on different sites to comply with the google map API requirements, it would be better if a true mirror option was possible so I will look into that. Thanks!

You'll be posting links and sending PM's before you know it! (15 posts required for PMs and I believe it's still 10 for posting URLs).

Like I said earlier, I think MM is a great tool. But I don't tend to use for the purpose it was originally designed! Have never booked a XONE, although have validated a few in my time. What I do use it for mainly is calculating SCs for various complicated routings (Oneworld Explorer Validator/Plug in the route I'm interested in - EG LAX-LAS-DFW-ORD, tick Ignore errors and then get the SCs for Discount Econ/J/F from the bottom)

Excellent for quick reference on SCs earnt for certain routes. So any improvement ideas I have for it are around that usage. Some ideas:
- Explain that this is possible. I can't remember how I learnt it was possible, but it isn't obvious on the page!
- Allow the usage of multiple routes (eg LAX-LAS-DFW;LAX-ORD-DFW) and calculate the SC for each. (similar to how GCM handles it: Great Circle Mapper )

Only suggestions, and not pushing for them to be implemented ... just providing feedback of things that would make life easier for me!

Take care.

Thanks for the feedback Mal; if you use "," instead of ";", does MM do what you expect? I think GCM works with "," also, but if that does work it will be trivial to make ";" a separator also.

Yep, a ',' does work - thanks, and I did test GCM and it does also work with ,

Haha :) I have 974 version updates to go before I am forced to solve that problem! Thanks for posting the update. With three different BBs to maintain, I may not be on top of them all, however I will always try to ensure I tweet updates.

0.95028 is released

Huge update from hauteboy with many fixes done to the award calculation side to bring them up to date. An area I had neglected :( Many thanks for this!

Updated flight data loaded. New destinations: OKI, ROR, CTG, GBE, HLA, MPM, KUT, MRV, NKM. Point-point calculations now work again (accidentally broken at some point). S7 services are now marked as all having business class, an educated guess - better than before when they were all showing as Y only.

Second update today, now we're at 0.95029

Now you can Tweet, send to Facebook etc. an itinerary created either from the Point-Point section, or the Oneworld Explorer Validator section.

SLFGreat tool you've created.Have found it extremely useful last couple of yearsThanksPaddy

Thanks to both hauteboy and SLF for firstly creating it and keeping it available and up to date. :D

+1 Use it all the time. I like being able to see different classes on the same itinerary especially when working out complicated routes to and from LOTFAP
Thanks :)
