JAL's crazy domestic 2 month seat release finally came around for the flight I need on Boxing Day.

Now that it's booked, would anyone know how to add my QFF # to the booking? I've got a 4 digit Reservation Number and an 8 digit Order Number, but can't find anywhere (in the process of booking) or elsewhere on the JAL site to enter the info. I can't even check my booking.

Anyone have any experience with this?

I've got a booking at the end of the year on JAL but it was made through Amex Travel.

I've been able to select the seats using the 6 digit PNR, by selecting the location as Australia - however my domestic JAL flight is part of an international booking.

I had on hold previously (but now cancelled) a flight booked with JAL direct - that had a 4 digit PNR which I could use on their site to access the booking - but I had to log in by putting the location as Japan not Australia to access it. ie. Go to jal.com, select Japan and select View My Reservations and then enter details for non-JMB members.

Thanks pshepvic - I can at least see my booking there now. That 4 digit PNR was kind of confusing. How they can keep them unique is beyond me. perhaps they're linked to the flight number and date and time. OT: A nightmare database design.

However, still can't see any way to update details. It all seems to be very much JMB focused, not oneworld partner friendly.

I will, as serfty has suggested, call JAL here and add my details. I booked direct with JAL, so no Qantas PNR. Seat selection was successful. I ended up paying the extra Y1000 for 'J'. More so to get the SCs, and to get me over the PS line for the first time.

Thanks for your assistance - I will confirm here when (if) I succeed.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I gave them my QFF# at check in in Sydney as I could not find a way to do it online either.
Remember that SCs and points from JL are batch processed, so will take a while to appear in your QFF account.
cheers
Bert

Indeed Bert. My year ends on Dec. 31, so was hoping that everything would show up before that.

I called and added my number - nothing shows up on JAL yet, but heres hoping. I was advised to show it again at checkin.

Strangely, I was given a 6 digit alphnumeric confirmation number, but she was unable to say whether or not it was my PNR. Doesn't show up in checkmytrip. Does JAL use Amadeus or something else?

For $12 how could you say no! I flew J-class with JAL a couple of years ago and you don't get food or anything, but they are pretty much the same as Millenium QF biz seats, with plenty of room.

It's more than worth paying the money just to get 4x SCs (even if you're on a cheap fare).

sorry, adding on with a similar question:
I have similar JL Int & Dom flights, with an arrival back in SYD on 28 Feb.
I also need the SC's to get me across the line for PS too.
However, my anniversary date is also 28 Feb. How can I retain my accumulated SC balance until the JL points transfer across to QFF (after anniversary date?).
Thanks

The SC’s will post for the date you flew, so even if they take a little bit of time to post, they shall post for the right period, assuming they were earned in the right period.

12-month old thread, I know, but thought I'd post some updated information anyway.

I was just able to add my Qantas Frequent Flyer number online for a Domestic JAL booking which I made through the JAL Japan English website.

I used the info from this thread to view my reservation: select non-JMB member, enter name details, flight date, flight number, and 4-digit reservation number.

My reservation came up, and under "Passengers - Boarding Information", there is a section "Frequent Flyer number". Under here, I was able to select Qantas Frequent Flyer and enter my membership number.

Hope this helps others in the future. Perhaps it's a new feature since OP.

Good to hear kevrosmith. Sounds like a new feature - I remember spending hours searching that site looking for the FF input.

Enjoy Japan!
