So we left Zurich fri morning in business class and we are now in Beijing business lounge waiting for
our domestic flight to shanghai.
LX werent overly impressive on the catering front - of the two starters only one was available to us
and then when it came to serve desert they had ran out and I think there were a fair few who went without. Not sure how that happens in business!? Run out of our first choice fair enough but to be in a position to offer nothing!? Oh well!
Getting through immigration in PEK was a pain but eventually we got through however it was here we discovered that air china won't be transporting us or our baggage from our arrival airport in shanghai
which is west of the city to where we leave for Sydney from which is in the airport on the east. So we
have to collect our bags of which one is a bike, transit to the other airport and then hope we can check in very early as we have around 8 hours to kill between flights. I was hoping that CA just transported our bags and we could have a quick look round the city, don't think we will have the energy for that now!
I just hope we can check in and go through to the lounge for some kip.
The check in staff and the lounge staff dont speak very good English so we are just riding the wave
and looking forward to getting on the plane in 11 hours - gonna be a long day. Still at least CA have
beds - I hope anyway!
