I am hoping to book hnl-lax-las-lax-dfw-mia in a YxUPP fare. I want to stop in LAX, LAS, MIA. Maybe even open Jaw it and head back to HNL from ORL. I have looked at booking it online, but it only prices in point to point. IE HNL-MIA via LAX or DFW etc. No stops.

Is it possible to have stops on a YxUPP? Will it allow back tracking (x-LAS-x) I suspect not.

If by some miracle I can do this, does any one know a competent travel agent that can book it?

Calling Wijomas or Serfty either of them might be able to help.

Firstly for a fare like that each stop has to be less than 24 hours.

Serfty will answer your queries much better than I can but until he answers his page . . .

On the AA website you need to select 'multi-city' from the homepage. From here you enter your cities. However, it seems to allow a maximum of four which would be complicated with your itinerary.

From my experience backtracking is permitted. In fact, last night I looked for a similar YUPP that included LAX-SFO-DFW. The search results returned an option to go LAX-SFO-LAX-DFW. It was also an overnighter in SFO.

To book it I would call AA's US number (using a calling card).

Firstly, a YUP is an A to B fare - wether you route A->B or A->C->D->B is irrelevant.

Having an intermediate stopover changes this. e.g. stopping over at D makes the fare an A->D, D-B fare at higher cost.

Secondly, backtracking is permitted as long as it is within the routing rules. For example, rules for SFO to TPA might state "single transits permitted at LAX/DFW/SFO/MIA/ORD" which means you can transit (but not stop) at each of those points once on the routing.

Thank you for that information. I have tried again on EF to find the fare. I found it this time. Couldn't locate it earlier for some reason.

I noticed this though that I am happy with!
