Hi guys
I'm a first time poster here and need some help :)
I recently booked some flights as part of my trip to Europe and USA with Aer Lingus, British Airways and American Airlines.
My flights LHR>DUB on BA and LHR>JFK on American Airlines (codeshared with BA) are showing in the current bookings in my Qantas Frequent Flyer account online, but my DUB>MAN on Aer Lingus and JFK>CDG on American Airlines aren't. Does this mean that they're not eligible to earn points?
I'd really appreciate some insight

Happy New Year

HANNAH :)

hi sertfy
I booked the Aer Lingus flight myself on their website and used Escape Travel to book LHR>JFK and JFK>CDG. I was given an AA confirmation number with AA flight numbers. I checked on aa.com and they have my frequent flyer number, so I can't work out why it's not on my qantas page :(

It all comes down to what GDS a travel agent/airline uses. If is not the same one that QF uses, you won't see it on your QF page, even if it has your QFF number in the booking. JQ flights are an example of where they don't show in your QFF page (unless it was booked as part of a QF itinerary or using Amadeus)

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

As others have said, the problem with bookings not showing up in your QF account doesn’t mean anything with regard to eligibility to earn points. What you earn (if anything) for these flights will depend on the fare class you have booked. You should be able to find that out from your etickets, and then check the following links on the Qantas website to see what you will get in terms of points:

With Aer Lingus, you may or may not earn points, but DUB-MAN is such a short trip that it’s not worth worrying about either way (even in full fare economy you’d only earn something like 165 points). And unfortunately you don’t get Status Credits with Aer Lingus anymore.
