You smoke and drink more than your office bound peers

In the current issue of Harvard Business Review there is a small piece showing the dangers of business travel. "The stress, interrupted sleep, unhealthful eat and drinking, and lack of exercise".

The original source research showed that extensive business travellers experience higher risks of smoking, less exercise, obesity and trouble sleep.

Maybe that Platinum tier should also come with a health warning.

I haven't smoked since April 1986. Went from a pack a day smoker to zip immediately, upon a £10 bet in a London pub!

The turps, however ....

BTW - My mate never paid the ten pounds! He claims to have saved me far more ... He's right of course!

I should also add, I'm becoming fitter by the month. Travel seems to bring out the adventurous in me!

Oh, and I can sleep on a barbed wire fence, learned from planes!

I've said before that my health fund should subsidise my holidays - I always get a lot more exercise and snack less on my travels. Never smoked and now drink a lot less than before.

I haven't smoked since 10 September 2003 and I used to smoke 50+ cigarettes/day. Drinking I can easily control although I do love to have a drink or 2 while on holidays.

The biggest problem is the free food in the lounges.
