You know you are a frequent flyer when ...

Well I thought I had travelled too much when I walked out of the Concorde lounge thinking just another lounge.
But now at the SGS in BKK and being recognised and called by name by all the staff, with the fellow at the airport recognising you at 100 metres and sprinting to take your bags I realised that no you cant travel too much.

Another thing I find annoying is overhearing the conversations of armchair experts particularly if one person asks another what type of a/c a plane is. Eg if they're looking at an A340, it's mis-identified as an A380. It takes every ounce of restraint to not correct them.

I can't help myself. I do correct them.

Oh dear, I have just walked into the HotP lounge and there is a new attendant. She has offered me a glass of S/Blanc without prompting.

I got to HH KUL late one night and as I approached the desk was greeted with "Hello Ms Tam". I have never stayed there before. WTF!

They do know who I am!

You know you are a frequent flyer when you bypass booking process and rather just send SMS to cough Manager saying 'Alex I will be in town x to y so will need my room pls'.

When you arrive they pass you the card to room 1234 - same room you have had last 50 stays - you never forget that room number JT!
What he said ...............

I had a worse sign today. The car in front had a numberplate beginning ABZ.I found myself wondering if the driver was a Scot.

You are thinking of turning down a "promotion" at work that will increase your salary by 30K pa as it may mean less time for flying

Looks like they are doing their job, Ms Tam!

When the check-in counter attendants recognise you automatically and greet you "hello Mr Wozz - going to Singapore for the weekend again?"

I used to fly ID90 with QF / BA to SIN from SYD nearly every 2-3 weeks to see my wife ( who used to work there)

Nothing better than getting upgraded to J at the counter with an ID90 fare

Though there is also the occasional thrill of "Mr Wozz the BA flight is quite full today so you may want to try QF as well in case you don't get on..."

That's all a bit scary how many are applicable!

Knowing the flight numbers automatically depending on the airline and time of day

Getting an ORC when you get home occasionally!

Of course. That is one of the easiest. Has been the same for 30+ years. ;)

I've lived in three states and of course it changed in all of them. In the ACT they aligned the expiry date with 5/0 birthdays which is very handy.

It occurred to me just now. Getting peed off @ T80 when I wasn't able to get "my"seat. Which is always 2K. It just doesn't feel right sitting anywhere else
