Does anyone know the process for updating yellow fever vaccination certificate/Travel Vaccination 'passport' when your regular passport number has changed?

My yellow fever cert has the old number. In the past, the few agents on entry who even knew about the vaccination book gave it a cursory glance if anything, but I'm concerned the new focus on following rules for vaccinations might result in a problem form the mismatch. Smarttraveller seemed useless, and google was only turning up covid related information (and why we needed a new cert, rather than noting it in this book, who knows).

yes, I was pleased to fin out about the change to 'for life' as mine would have expired partway through next year.

My IVC/Yellow Book has name and old passport number on the front cover, but then on the document page inside where the actual yellow fever vaccine details are listed and signed/stamped it has name/nationality/DOB/signature fields filled in and the document field is left blank. If it was blank on the cover I wouldn't think twice about it - but the mismatch made me concerned I'd arrive and it be the one day the immigration desk has someone being "that guy" on duty.
Based on what I saw online earlier, I suspect you’d be fine.

Apparently even records with expiry dates are being accepted.

Do you have an IVC (Yellow Book) recording your jab? As above, they should be passport number agnostic.

I was going to suggest that the jab validity would have expired by now but I see that they good for life now!

You could always fill in your new PP details on the cover. My very first IVC had my military service number. I have absolutely no idea why but it probably seemed like a good idea at the time. My current one is blank.

My travel doctor confirmed - old 'expiry' dates now ignored; they are not allow to alter it or cross it out.

My yellow booklet has 3 sequential passport numbers on the front and is about to get another! It carries all my immunisation records (including covid) as well as Yellow fever and is the constant companion to my passport.

The expiry date on my last yellow fever vaccination certificate has now passed (i.e. it's now been more than 10 years). Has anyone had any real-world experience of clearing immigration with a yellow fever certificate showing a past expiration date since the WHO change to lifetime validity?

Mine has expired too, but I was unclear on whether older vaccinations (given before the new ruling) are considered for life, or only some new vaccine variant?

Thought I might have to get a new jab and that would would ten be good for life.

Vax over 10 yrs or newer ought to be fine since Oz has adopted the WHO recommendation of one jab for life in 2016.

Of course, anyone travelling OS should check with their GP if they’re up to date with jabs. I currently have a saw arm thanks to a Typhoid booster….

Yikes! I'll avoid who you went to for that jab!

Yes they are - my travel doc direct answer.

yes, my last arrival back in September was the first time they've actually ever asked for it (was returning from Namibia) - they looked, all fine and waved on through.

My niece who is immunocomprised (she takes after me) is currently in Rio on a week conference and hasn’t had the vaccination. I take it it’s a live one. Her (our) specialist has written a cover exemption letter. It’s a medical conference.
