Decided to surprise my parents by flying to Adelaide this pm for Xmas dinner...when I checked 2 hours ago, amazingly found an award seat from Syd-Adl on QF this pm, and an award return on VA tomorrow afternoon,,,,working on 27th Dec hence the rush to get back to Sydney. Safe travels to all those travelling!

'XMas' Day doesn't exist.

It's CHRISTmas Day - for a reason. To discuss the latter would be beyond AFF's remit.

Like most of us, I have never flown domestically on Christmas Day. However I have departed for international climes on this night in the past.

'XMas' Day doesn't exist.

Xmas day has existed since at least 1463 in terms of current usage, of course prior to that, X being the abbreviated form of Χριστος used frequently in the New Testament, translating into English as Christ.

Plan A: Flying to LAX on VA1.

Plan B: Not required at my Place of Employment.

At home in Sydney with mum and dad relaxing before heading off on the scenic route to Thailand tomorrow morning.

Merry Christmas all!

In Darwin for christmas this year. Flew up from Melbourne yesterday on QF838. The plane had plenty of empty seats.

At home in Perth by the pool. Chicken drumsticks and BBQ prawns for dinner.

Ahhh but would most likely have been chockers on the return leg if the traditional Darwin exodus has continued this year.

Visiting mum and stepfather in Nambucca Heads along with my brother and his family. Tomorrow it's QF2107 CFS-SYD, then a quick dash home to shuffle luggage before jumping on QF1 in First to LHR then with BA to Dublin to see the rels, eventually, on the 27th.
