Hi wise owls. We have decided to have a white Xmas and will be in Oslo for Xmas day.
The hotel we are booked into do not have a restaurant and I can't find one on line which will be serving lunch or dinner.
It appears that the city shuts down including the railway so no station food offerings.
The Oslo tourist site cannot offer any more than their generic seasonal list.
Can anyone suggest where we can book for a meal or even somewhere that will be open on Xmas day.
Appreciate your help in advance and a safe and happy festive season to all.

I had looked at the visit oslo site and found it under helpful.
I plumbed the depths and found a table indicating opening hours for a range of venues.
Now for a magnifying glass to interrogate the details.
I am sure that this wasn't there a couple of weeks ago. Thanks for your suggestion.

The hotel concierge might be worth asking if you can get a contact for them (or ask the general contact address for recommendations). Have stayed in fairly generic touristy hotels & asked the concierge for dinner recommendations & been sent of to places that were absolutely brilliant but which I'd never have found otherwise. :)
