I recently flew ADL-HKG on CX in PE, which netted 50 SC.

The return trip was HKG-MEL - which is around 200 miles greater distance - but QF only provided 30 SC for that leg.

Simpler fairer. (At least that's what QF called it when they moved away from a single distance band calculator)

QF has a special table for competing routes, in this case a special table for flights
Between Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Hong Kong.
If you had flown QF metal or codeshare you would have earned 60-70 SC depending on PE fare class.

Adelaide has a special table and for some reason Hong Kong and Malaysia earns more SCs than Doha (Suspect because of QFs lack of international services from ADL)

If you go to the QF Qpoints and QF SC earn calculator, ADL - HKG in premY indeed earns 50 QF SC, and MEL - HKG or vv, in premY earns 30 QF SC.
Not wrong QF SC, as in the title of the thread, more so its the appropriate QF SC earn for a partner.
As Moa999 mentioned in the light blue linkage.
