This is my first time flying PE coming up at all. I'm familiar with the possible WP benefits of being in Y, but what is PE like? Do they still do the greeting? Offer J headsets? Amenity kit and pyjamas on overnight flights?

In PE you already get the J headsets. The amenity kit is more Y like (I don't remember if you get ear plugs in the pouch). I did get the J amenity kit a few times (after asking the CSM). Pyjama are not provided, I only received them once (without asking) because a FA who recognised me from a previous flight felt bad for me flying in PE instead of J...if she only knew that I fly Y 90% of the time...

I had 2 Y+ flights as a WP over Nov and Dec. Nothing more special than where I'm in Y (other than the hard product). I was travelling with SWMBO and they didn't even offer additional Express Path cards. I had about 10 of them in my bag anyway, so no biggie :)

The greeting is hit and miss.

I have had the CSM come up to me before meal service and offer me the first choice of meal. Nice gesture.

There is no set benefits of flying as a WP in PE, you may get none, some or all of the things mentioned above, whatever does happen is a bonus.

I flew PE last week and there were no special WP benefits at all, no greeting, no nothing!

I flew PE 3 weeks ago as a PS, got a greeting, it seemed the CSM greeted all the PE guests as well. Well J headsets are a confirmed amenity, as they're already on the seats during boarding. According to a QF FA that i spoke to, they want to have PE service mirrored after the domestic J service.
