WP for first time :)

Just had the SCs from my MEL-ASP-ADL-MEL status run hit my account and tip me over to WP for my first time ever!

I had to tell someone and most people I know think I was crazy to go chasing an airline status yet here on AFF it's a completely normal thing to do

Now I just need to book some kind of international travel and check out this FLounge thing everyone raves about!

Congrats adrianb! No you are not crazy as I made WP today for the first time as well. My DSC posted today from my weekend MEL-BNE-MEL trip 240SC and I also did the MEL-SYD-ASP-SYD-MEL 480SC earlier this month

Its not just adrianb and onederboy there are quite a few of us who had the double SC offer and made the leap to WP, in my case my good lady talked me into it!, then decided at last minute she would come to Fremantle with me on my run (be it in Y - I was in J), we had few excellent days in that beautiful city. Crazy yeah probably...

I know what you mean about wanting to tell someone who understands! I did my status run yesterday so I'm eagerly awaiting my points and the magic word platinum. I only made gold eight months ago for the first time and I had never thought I'd even get to that level, let alone platinum.

Funny, I went to SYD with husband last week and he said, on the flight back, how many SC do you need for platinum. I said 230 but I only have ten days to do it. Got home and looked up my email to find my DSC offer that I'd forgotten about so yesterday I did some flying!

Ok bugger it. My CX points from last weeks flight posted today and at about 3.00pm WST I'm. WP for the first time too!!!!

Today or tomorrow should tip me into WP! I'm quite excited too!
Plus it looks like I did a few status runs just in the nick of time considering the new booking engine
Still to be honest I did think it was all a bit of a rort...but I happily took place
My WP will last for 18months and I'll probably never get it again so I'm happy to tick WP off my 'bucket list'
