Hi All

Can anyone confirm that Woolworths eGift Cards can be used at Woolworths Petrol Stations?

Thanks

Hi All

Can anyone confirm that Woolworths eGift Cards can be used at Woolworths Petrol Stations?

Thanks

Depends what colour shirts the attendants wear (literally).

The caltex-owned co-branded ones don't accept e-gift cards. For 18 months or so it didn't say this anywhere, but recently they have put up signs saying Wish cards accepted - e gift cards not.

Woolworths-owned ones do as they have the newer eftpos machines and run the WoW POS system.

The former wear blue shirts, the latter green (in my experience)

Or to put it another way, if the shop is a Woolworths - yes; if the shop is a StarMart - no.

Obviously, with the latter it needs to be a WW co-branded station.

In the past some have not accepted gift or egift cards. Woolworths branded. I don't go back to see if they have changed their policy.

Thanks all.

Visited my local servo and they confirmed that they do accept eGift cards!

I haven't dabbled in the eGift cards.

Is the point of the gift cards to get 5 to 10% discount on an online purchase and earn points on that cc purchase and then buy petrol at the appropriate servo and swipe the EDR card and get more points?

That's it GMOH. We use them at Woolies group so that includes Masters, Thomas Dux and Dans for us as well as Woolworths for fuel and groceries.
The risk is you miss redeeming them and they expire.
This week I found a $200 David Jones gift card and despite it being technically out of date their customer service replaced it. I thought that was terrific customer service so I used it 10 minutes later and will remain a long term customer.

Thanks cove. Is there a current best source, I don't have an entertainment book?

An advantage of Entertainment Book is that it directs to the WW site and you can earn 3 MR points/$ on Plat Edge

I'm not sure that all the other portals do

Thanks guys, I'll follow up. Sadly, no 3 pts per $1 card for me. I'll stop hijacking the thread now.

RACWA has them in their online store. That's how I get mine (no cc fee)

Pricepal.com.au should work for you GMOH as it is free to join.

RAC does (for both physical and e-gift cards).

The API Lifestyle one a previous employer of mine had but only for e-gift cards. Physical cards were from their own online store, which also had a 3% amex surcharge.
