Would you rather: QF PE on 747 or Y on A380

I've booked seat 3K at present, only seat unavailable was 3A. I don't suppose anyone has some insight into the best F seats on QF A380's ;)

Based on this thread What the best seat(s) to choose in First class on A380? I booked 2A/3A for hubby & I for our QF10 flight in Dec (and yesterday I noticed another passenger has selected 4A with the rest of the cabin wide open at this stage). It seems that if you avoid rows 1 & 5 (although some people actually like those rows), it's just a matter of chosing if you want a window seat or not.

Interesting, I did pretty much the same thing (picked 4A behind 2A and 3A) yesterday for a flight in mid-November.

My reasoning: I like 3A and 4A, and I've never even really sensed the presence of someone sitting behind me or in front of me, so I'd prefer to stick with the A side even if I'm not on my own.

I've also seen the cabin fill up most of the time with upgrades, so I don't see much point trying to space things out at this stage.

I guess we are all different.

For me premium economy only in bulkhead seat otherwise bulkhead seat in ecomomy will do me just fine.

So the additional width, legroom, recline and service mean nothing? You must be shorter than me in order for you to be so attached to bulkhead seats. I avoid them all, which works out well if we happen to be on the same flight ;).

As per another thread the recline is my biggest issue. The bulkhead seat reclines and I am cactus.

But then again do you knock back an op-up to premium economy? ;)

Thanks notsure! After reading that thread, I did the selfless thing and changed to 2A ;)

I hadn't really thought about the RHS having 2x the traffic. Ultimately is infinitely better than Y so any seat is great, I'm fortunate enough that I had the chance to pick the best of a great bunch.

Looking forward to the champers on offer, I'd like it to be Dom (for no other reason than to try it, I couldn't justify much more than a bottle of Louis Roederer if it was my actual money) but it seems at the moment it seems like its Pol Roger Winston Churchill. Has anyone flow F recently and know what the current pour is?
