I wonder if it was made as easy at buying a song on iTunes would the option of buying flights online become a more popular option ?

In saying that, there should be no excuse for Qantas not to offer more features on its mobile platform.

They don't even offer an app for Blackberry users and I see a lot of people on QF flights with Blackberrys

It is a major part of the business market. I believe when they updated the mobile site they reformatted for both BB and iPhone/Android - everyone else gets a pretty generic site.

I'm a bit sick and tired of blackberry users being treated like the poor cousins

:( you all have me paranoid now. i have purchased plenty of flights on my iphone, either using apps, mobile pages or even the standard pages on my small screen (pinch, and separate! ;) )

my last international flight purchased was done so sitting in a cafe....

now i feel i should do it on my laptop, with the blinds drawn - just in case :)

thx for heads up!

I've definitely purchased flights on my phone, once through AirAsia and once painstakingly through Zuji using pinch and zoom on my iPhone!

It does depend a lot on the ease of use, I booked Zuji on my phone because I had nothing else nearby and it wasn't particulary straightforward...

Anyway I'm rambling but my point is if the website and/or app is well designed and easy to use on a mobile phone (ie. the expedia mobile site/app or even something like the skyscanner app) then I'd have no issues booking more flights on my mobile.

The OnTheFly iPhone app by ITA software is great for searching airfares and routing. It's free, and allows searching by numbers of stops, time, departure times and so on. Highly recommend it.
