I've been using the MyFlights app (iPhone - dunno if Android version is available) for a while now and have found it generally very useful. For those not familiar with it, you punch in the details of any bookings made with airlines that use Amadeus, and it monitors them for changes (schedule, seats, etc) and alerts you if any changes occur.
I recently had cause to waitlist about 5 different KrisFlyer redemptions with SQ, and given they use Amadeus, thought I'd add them to MyFlights to see if anything about the reservations changed when the waitlist clears - and hence whether MyFlights can be used as a method to monitor for waitlists clearing.
Over the past few weeks two of my waitlisted flights have cleared, and on both occasions MyFlights detected a change to the booking and alerted me - so it looks like you can. The change doesn't say "waitlist cleared" or anything like that (IIRC it was a random field in the booking changing to "Unknown"), but as long a you know the booking in question is waitlisted KrisFlyer redemption it's not hard to figure out what has happened.
Given how unreliable I've found SQ to be in alerting me when my waitlists clear (although on both of the aforementioned occasions I did get an e-mail), I'm happy to have this as a "backup" alerting method - it saves me time, as I now don't have to regularly login into the SQ website and check my whether my waitlists have cleared (required given I don't trust their e-mail/SMS alerts).
Thought others might find this useful too - hence the post!
