Hi guys,

Hoping some of the very knowledgeable people on here can help give me some advice on what to do.

I am in the QFF program and was lucky enough to find and book an award flight from MEL - SCL on the 27th June. I want to go to Rio for the world cup. I have looked a few times every day for the seats from SCL - GIG to be available and it seems that they have not released any. The return flight on the 15th July from SCL - MEL has also never been released from what I could see. I did find a flight coming back on the 22nd July so I doubt I will be able to get any award seats for the dates I wanted.

Should I just forget about getting there on awards and just look at cheap flights to get there? Think getting there via LAX, DFW or MIA might be the cheapest way to go.

Another option might be starting a RTW from Santiago. Does anyone know what the base fare cost for a OW RTW would be departing from Santiago? Appreciate any advice or suggestions. Thanks.
