And hey, there's somehow still F & J award availability on QR SYD-DOH in early/mid November! World Cup not that popular I guess.

We will be there but we will already be in the UK prior to it. We have decided to stay in the UAE and just shuttle over to Doha on game day.
Accomodation in Qatar is reported to be in high demand with prices through the roof. Saad a article last week saying that property managers in Doha have been given permission by the Qatari government to increase rental by as much as 40% and evict people if they won’t sign long term leases. They are trying to get residents to move whilst the World Cup is on as they have a massive accomodation shortage

There is a grand total of about 6 tickets available between 1st and 13th November. Hardly wide open. Especially when the tournament kicks off on the 21st November. No one is going two or three weeks before it starts. Qatar doesn't exactly offer much for tourists!

I will also be spending most of my time in neighbouring countries and shuttling in.

Out of interest, I decided to look up what my options were as I have dropped to bronze status due to the pandemic and having cut back flying following the birth of my son The options were nonexistent.

For anyone going, don't disregard Tunisia as an opponent. They just defeated Japan 3-0...

thanks
