Over the last few days it looks like there has been a deliberate attempt to use words that have very many options for the last letters. Guessing single letters can get hit or miss - sometimes better to try a word that you know will be wrong, but can cover a lot of the possible letters to avoid those single guesses. Need to pull the trigger on that option early though.
