Woolworths self-checkout allows egift card scanning?

Was at Woolworths this morning and after I selected to pay with an egift card, it gave a new option to either scan the egift card or enter on the keypad.

I opened up the Woolworths Money app where I keep my Wish egift cards and can scan my Woolworths Rewards, but there was no option I could see for a barcode on the egift cards.

This has been an obvious avenue for improvement for ages. Is this coming? Is it available on iOS but not Android yet? I checked for app updates, and the Wish card is only from yesterday.

What would be even better is to enable the use of NFC to tap and pay using the Woolwoths Money app.
