Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

We just had our third shop since the new rewards problem came into effect. First one was $130 for 29c of WW money, second was $25 for 19c or so. The third was picking up a few supplies for a BBQ, nothing earned, but it did congratulate me on getting to $10 and gave me that off the shop.

If it continues with IT glitches that give me $10 off after about $180 spent, I might keep going :)

Somewhat randomly, we were just given a $25 gift card in store yesterday when we were queuing up to pay. I didn't catch the full explanation but it was something to do with the card not being claimed earlier in the day.... a mystery really, but a free $25 :).

If you log in to Woolworths Rewards there is an area under My Account - cards and accounts - which will allow you to cancel your account. There is a drop down menu to give a reason, these include dissatisfaction and joining a BETTER rewards program.

It is in the quote

First email from WW in a while.Have dropped in once since getting home but did not use a card.
Todays email was Hope you are enjoying Woolworth's rewards.

Interesting stats about number of EDR card holder linking or redeeming to QFFF.

I thought I read in the QF marketing material that around 3 million award seats are redeemed each year? Out of 10 million members, that means less than a third of QFFFs membership actually redeem flights anyway.

On that basis, I'd say QF could argue it could scrap the award seat element of their program!

Yes, but not by 3,000,000 people.

AFF members probably redeemed 1,000,000 of them :)

While I don't like the new system... prices seem hiked up before you get a 'woollies currency unit' as rebate... the standard specials and pricing remain, overall, more competitive than Coles in our area.

I saved $7 yesterday at Woollies over Coles. Multiply that by a couple of times a week (on a $30 shop) and I'm able to buy a ticket to SYD on QF much quicker than I'll ever get from FlyBuys.

I saved $30.00.......... But then I didn't go shopping.
:)

The problem with shopping at Woollies and Coles is that it really depends on where you are. Some places I go Coles are way ahead of Woollies and the reverse in others.
Same goes for their pricing. Some things are virtually always cheaper at Coles and some the reverse.
Down here in Tassie my fruit and veggies come from the local Farmer's markets.Usually cheaper and mostly better quality.

Shopped at WW on Sunday, spent $111. My account says I 'saved' $25 - can't see how, and earned 1.9 pesos - don't know how, but no FF points. I thought that points were to continue until the end of the year?

Anyone else had this problem?

You still get points but these points won't show on your receipt. Eventually they will show on your account. The "saved" amount will be based on the special you've bought. There will probably be an arrow symbol above some of your products on the receipts which means the products were on special that week. I don't know whether there will be a symbol for the pesos products as I haven't bought any since the system began.

The receipts no longer show the number of QFF points earned, but there is a statement along the lines of, "you have earned 1 QFF point for each dollar over 30", or something like that. Does your receipt have that on it?

MrNatalie did the shopping on the weekend. He earned some pesos but I was unable to work out what items on the receipt.

Ok, thanks for the explanation of the upward arrows next to the cost. Yes, all the items with arrows were discount items. However, there don't seem to be any other indicators, except the GST liable items.
