Woolworths - QFF was an error - The Age

I was already shopping at Woolworths, but not Big W and actually a fan of First Choice. I've even convinced my dad to try Masters more recently over Bunnings, and I don't earn anything there. Got a good relationship going at my local BWS (within walking distance)... but not sure that's a good or bad thing? :p

Woolworths just need to remove that pesky $30 minimum :)
I never understood this restriction.

If you spend more than $30 then you should receive QFF points for the entire spend not just the spend over $30. Perhaps Qantas is charging too much for their QFF points.

Don't forget to pay Masters with Woolies gift cards so that they are 5% less than Bunnings. Relatively the Coles /Bunnings/Target/K Mart/ First Choice are a tight fisted bunch seeing the Coles 5% off cards only work at Coles supermarkets and nowhere else.
Last week we picked up more than 2,000 Qantas points that I will use for pointy end flights at a value of around 4 cents/point.
I would battle to get $80 from the Coles group of companies in kickers in 6 months.

I think the zero points on first $30 is supposed to fund the 4cpl fuel discount (and pre dates the QFF program at WOW).

Not quite sure how that works when I convert a 10-40cpl voucher to points though ;)

I've heard this explanation as well but it doesn't look good against the Coles/Flybuys policy. You can get 30 flybuys base points and a fuel voucher at Coles for a $30 purchase. The only time I spend under $30 at Woolworths is when I have a targeted bonus points offer such as spend $10 on meat/deli/bakery etc. I try to only do large shopping trips but if I need one item unexpectedly I go to Coles.

I'm not sure of my percentage split between Coles and Woolworths at the moment. When I first joined EDR I tried doing all my spending at WW and Big W but I couldn't get everything I wanted from there and started making small purchases from Coles as well. I eventually joined Flybuys and now take advantage of the best targeted offers each week from either both or one of the chains.

Do you have a link to where the 5% Woolies cards can be bought?

Doing only small shops I've left WOW again, due to the $30 minimum. Personally I'd be happy with .5ppd for all spend or something like that.

Fly buys aren't worth much to me but they are better than nothing generally. Also my local WOW sucks so its out of my way go to a good one.

Prior to the QFF/EDR tie up I split my shopping probably 60/40 in favour of Woolies. Since then its 90/10 with the 10 being shops under $30 at Coles. I have to drive past a Coles to get to Woolies. I have also started buying some laundry items and stationery at Big W. Didn't ever shop there prior to EDR.
Have just started buying some wine from BWS as well. Never used to go there as the range was a bit poor but a BWS recently opened in my suburb and the range carried there is much better.
