Ok, strictly speaking this might not necessarily be Travel News but it's related. I'm keen to give it a go, as long as it's easy to get in and out of the pickup point.

Supermarket giant Woolworths unveils online shopping pick-up point at Melbourne Airport

Passengers can order fridge and pantry supplies up to a week ahead then grab them on their way home at the site beside the new public pick-up lane outside the Park Royal Hotel.

9am to 9pm? That's pretty much useless for me. I'm often on a 2230 arrival from PER (or thereabouts). And its location isn't great either, as I use off-site airport parking. I guess I could drive back and pick it up, but it's just as easy to go to a supermarket that closes at midnight (or a 24 hour one).

If they had done what Coles does at some of the Coles Express petrol stations, then I'd probably be interested (the refrigerated storage lockers). Why not do that, with a daily drop-off at 6am?

It won't suit everyone, but given I typically arrive back at MEL by around 3-4pm the hours will work for me. When I land at MEL I just want to get home, particularly if I've been away for three or four nights and being able to pick up a couple of bags of essentials on my walk to the car rather than having to stop at a supermarket on the way home is a winner to me.

Thanks but no thanks, I would rather just get home and then visit my local supermarket which is open until 10pm anyway.
