Woolworths gift card thread

Limiting it to one offer per EDR member (like Coles) is no doubt is next line
you absolutely read my mind!

thats the main reason why Ive stopped doing coles offers, even though I have 5 FB cards, its simply not worth it , as I dont shop at coles, I ahve to keep track of how much FB $ I have on each card,

thats another nail in teh amex coffin,

even less reason to keep the edge now
There is no visa/mastercard that comes close to 1.5 FF per $ at supermarkets. Don't see why this would be a reason to drop amex edge.
Woolies have been doing very well compared to coles these past 2 years which is probably why that are not as generous with their promotions now.

good point
admittedly, ive prepaid quite a bit of woolies egift that should last me a year or two

Going to go to Woolies on Wednesday morning armed with my Plat Edge to clear out the stock of iTunes cards in the store 😂
Good work :)

Probably worth noting, though, that there may be some naive people reading this and act on the advice they've seen. So to those people I say you cannot pay your tax bill with iTunes cards. That is, a fairly well known, scam.

Last time I purchased gift cards in Woolies and Coles I was assisted by staff that didn't know me. In both places I was warned about scams. They must have thought I was a gullible old lady. 😁

An opportunity to get 10% off your fuel is back on September 4th I believe. Start with a plastic $500 gift card and go and buy a Woolies Caltex Star card at another 5% off. Works in WA ......

Are you still able to obtain discounted plastic WISH cards without paying for delivery?

RACQ now charge for delivery of physical cards and only eGCs are free.

I did buy a large number before the 10 card limit at RACWA. I think there is now a charge of something like $5.95 for $5,000 of face value Wish cards that cost $4,750.
The Amex Platinum Edge points earn has changed too by half I believe.
So once exchanged to Caltex Star cards you buy fuel at 10% off plus 4 cents Woolies loyalty and a small Myer One kicker plus some points on your starting credit card.
That may provide almost 20% off your retail cost of fuel overall.

OK, I see.

I think RACQ's delivery charge is per order but I am not prepared to 'invest' that large a sum of money in gift cards so for a $500 card, the delivery fee cancels out approximately 20% of the discount.

Yes you should share out the purchase amongst family and friends. I have a work office to do the sharing and I keep the points on the credit card.

The 'small Myer One kicker' ends on Sep 27.
