Woolworths gift card thread

Wow found my local store this time stocked up hard, 10 racks of them. so probably easy 500 on shelf. Just came back from it, but only got 20 with 2 people

Poor effort - I am sure Dr Ralph would have cleaned the place out!

had my first you cant use gift card with gift card rejection by staff at self serve today in a long time, but she was so rude about it,
I just grabbed a few off the shelf and went to the manned register, who put it through for me,

normally id just come back a different time/day :)

Dont use self serve for these. Most staff will tell you to go to manned counter now, due to the non activation issues and "fraud" and some software wont allow it at self serve in certain stores

I'd advise the opposite.

I've found several stores where the staff have no clue at all what they are doing.

I've been repeatedly able to use the self serve machines in those stores to purchase very large numbers of cards in one transaction. Doing this at any staffed checkout would arouse unnecessary interest in what I was doing! In fact in those stores which I frequent a lot less for these offers I find that I either need to come back at a different time/different day, use different checkouts or even change my clothes before I come back to the same store to get around the overly zealous staff! Much much more difficult and time consuming :)

Good advice Dr Ralph. You're lucky to find a store with such staff though.

I've now cleared out 3 stores. Travelling further a field tomorrow to get some more.

This is my target:

Alienware 17 R4 17.3" Gaming Laptop

nice machine!! Hope you get it,

lets see what we end up with at the end, youve now got me motivated to buy more!
I WILL get it. Only about 30 cards short. So even if I can't find anymore cards in the next few days I'll just pay the difference.

Make sure to pay the difference via discounted JB gift cards via Woolies, 5% off and 3 ppd via Plat Edge

I so love my local Woolies. I went in yesterday evening and was starting to empty the shelves of cards when the manager came over to see me. She thanked me for buying so many cards in the David Jones offer, it seemed her store won 2nd prize in an internal competition for selling so many, the prize had been put into the staff christmas fund so they were all happy :)
I cleared out the 80 cards they had, this offer is so much easier than the DJ one, all converted into $50 egift cards already.

$3k laptop that is 2017 last Gen(also has major issue with heat sinks causing throttling the CPU under load) as the 2018 model released is going to cost $30k in gift card spend? Consider the Auros X5 just released but jb don't stock it!

I could do it but my tax bill aint that big ;)

If you buy 5 cards do you get 5 jbhifi codes?

Make sure you give her your address to send the christmas hamper too .

Edit: I've only had one store manager encouraging me to buy more

At 10 the system triggers the user to into tax and ABN details, but the user can just press the x to by pass it.

Though not sure what SOP is in regards to this as it's new.

Ive bought 1.4k in jetstar gift cards with no problems, but most stores just say to do 5x in each transaction, as it means less error when activation process.
