Woolworths gift card thread

I just realised that I could give the remainder of my cards to mum and dad and they can use them to pay for shopping. There's no name on the card and all they would need to do is sign.

Also found out AGL minimum payment is $10 after I had paid an ~$208 bill with 2 x $100 gift cards and then couldn't pay $8.

Canterbury/Bankstown council has minimum payment of $20 so now stuck with some low value gift cards which I guess I could use at Woolworths.

Or just round up and pay a bit of your bill in advance.

Anyone here took the 870 QFF points rather than the $10 per $100 card?

Did you wait for 24 hours after purchasing (activating) before using?

Me ! I took the $10 for the 1st store i went to (about 12 cards), then changed to QFF points for the remaining store, coz i still can change to $10 if i wanted to.. (if im not wrong)

I took the cash. Definitely.

Also do any of you guys check every card especially the high volume guys?

I check all of mine tedious as it may be

Everytime I've found some kind of discrepancy which is user related.

I had a pile of cards to throw out since I used them and found a full one!!!!

It's quite hard to keep track of them since I don't just buy them all at the same time

i do keep all the receipts till i use the card (at least can go back to the store with proof pf purchase if it's not working)

I've ended up with $40 on one rewards card and $20 on another. Has anyone tried converting it to a wish gift card, or does the system refuse?

Yes I keep mine too but if I was asked which recipet for which card. I wouldn't have foggiest idea.....

Is anyone buying the DJ promo cards? Do people really have that many purchases to make from there?

for the giftcard receipt, it will be the last 4 digits, but im sure if you got the main receipt, they will be able to check as well..

Was at Woolworths QV at 8pm, and there must have been at least 300 cards there. Only walked away with 10 sadly, as I've now a WR account for the whole family and the dog.

After this promo, I think future promos like this and for Perfect GC, WR will set a limit of 10 per WR account. Not so good for QFF points collectors.

With the VISA ONLY promo now over and all of my cards already spent I'd like to say thanks to Woolworths for being so generous :)

Roll on March 15.

Never waited. Sometimes used within the hour.

I am considering QFF points. Expensive purchase at 1.14c/p but I have some redemptions in mind...

geez, One of my cards was coming out as blocked for some reason,

tried calling them and it was a nightmare

couldnt speak to anyone, the first thing the system asks you is the number, and if you enter the wrong one or blocked one, it just says incorrect and keeps on repeating until they hang up,

on the website its the only one number,

I checked teh terms and conditons and they deduct $1 per enquiry too!!

luckily my card seemed to work after a few hours

just a heads up to people

I was in the same boat with $40 rewards to save off my next shop after exhausting all the $100 Only1 cards. Tried buying a $50 wish card (physical card), to effectively get it for $10, but when swiping rewards card, it wouldn't apply the $40, must have recognised it as woolies and woolies. Worked ok buying a $50 Visa card (plus fee), so I effectively paid $15.95 for that one, not as great as all my $100 cards, but I just wanted to cash out my rewards.

In hindsight, I should have tried purchasing physical $50 Caltex card instead, as I need fuel

what I did was bought in 4, 4, 1, 1

that minimises the amount left on the each edr card

$10 each
I wonder if similar deals will appear in the future,

im loving these, 9.5% off, maximum points....... salivating

Thanks for testing. Saves me doing it and embarrassing myself! I might try the caltex ones if they have fixed value cards.
