Woolworths gift card thread

I cut and paste between each charge. And don't forget to press the email receipt between each one. It's tedious, so you have to concentrate. I usually make a note on a piece of paper of the last one in case my mind wanders.

Planning to sit down and do the same on Saturday but will be my first time. Just want to be sure, it is perfectly acceptable to do many $96.46 payments in a row?

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I've done it before. No issues yet (except with the super fund, accountant gets worked up about it). Accountant told me to go for my life with non super.
It does take some time to make the payments. I generally buy up the GCs in the lead up to the quarterly payment so I have a good chance of finding sufficient supply.

Heya! Can you please explain this to me? We can top up our Super Fund with Gift Cards? Apologies for my ignorance If I am wrong...

I finally have an email with a pdf of my orders. What do I do with it actually? Once I have the only1 cards in my hands and go to a checkout, what next?

I hope all my newbie q's are not too irritating.

1. Choose "e gift card" as payment option.
2. Enter amount of payment.
3. Type gift card number into eftpos terminal, type PIN into eftpos terminal.
4. Repeat for each payment.
5. Endure frustrated looks from staff and other customers waiting to use checkout

Especially this since you will only be able to process 4 only1 GCs at a time due to the $500 limit on GC transactions.

Enjoy!

Great thank you. Looking at my pdf, there are numbers of about 150 characters long. On a physical card, there is an obvious pin, but where how on an ecard. Bloody hell this is a pain. Wouldn't it be great if WOW actually provided some instructions.

The WOW app is the best!

Copy and paste card number from phone into app easiest thing to do.

The instructions on the pdf are pretty clear I think.

I don't seem to have any instructions, just an xls. and. it's like 2pt font. I've opended the app.

The spreadsheet is just a list of links that take you to a PDF of the actual GC. The number and PIN will be on that. I didn't manage to get the app link to work so added them manually.

Don't even need to copy and paste since a recent update; just select the hyperlink in the e-mail and there's an automagic option to add it to the Woolworths Money app for you. :)

Agreed. For in-store use, it's the 10-digit version that you enter, not the "150 character" version. And 4-digit pin, of course. If using the app, swiping is a quick way to move to the next card.

EDIT: I should add that I've never bought more than a couple at a time, so I've never received the "spreadsheet" version.

Oh Colin, thank you so much for your kind offer! :D It is the only thing that has made me smile since 2pm. If I get to the state of throwing the phone out of the window, I may take you up on it. It there a time by date on that offer ..?

Meanwhile, perhaps the AFF extreme experts and I can solve it. Meanwhile, I am practising my extreme swearing.

I'd been buying the GCs to use to pay super tax on the ATO portal and reimbursing myself from the fund. Accountant didn't like this. Have gone back to using BPay. Sad to see those points going to waste but not worth it if it's going to cost me a lot of money in accountant's time to explain it in the event of an audit. Not worth the risk.
