Woolworths gift card thread

Where, may I ask? I was in WW SMelbourne this morning and asked them to check local stores: whilst I couldn't read all the addresses, the page of about 15 stores all showed zero stock. Staff said they'd sold their allocation of 40 cards on Wednesday. Yet people upthread have said the their Woolies (Sydney?) have 150 of them on display.:(
be aware that their stock level indicator is absolutely useless,

one manager offered to check and she said there was only 1 card left in vic, and she showed me the screen

I went to the next closest 3 stores, and there were collectively over 200 of them

I would hazard a guess that there were at least 75 at QV in the CBD when I left there about 45 minutes ago. I wouldn't be surprised if they have more hiding out the back somewhere.

Defiantly faster at manned checkout.
I got 9 and took 5 seconds to spit out the receipts. Though I paid with woolies reward points so not sure if that's a factor or not.

Frustration is the key word for this latest Woolies promo. I'm now doing 1 card at a time via the self checkouts. This activates instantly. Any more than 1 at a time and there is a delay, often extensive.

I've tried the self serve machines at 10 different Woolies since the promo began on Wednesday and it's been the same every day.

I've found plenty of stock, but I wont be able to keep up the 1 card at a time process.

come up here for the day! ;)

Found the last six at my local Woolies. Interestingly, two were parked down behind a row of JB Hifi cards. There were also three packets which had had the cards removed (why? they're no good if they're not activated). Activation at personned checkout took about 20 seconds.

Done 2 rounds of 5x $100 Visa using the WW EGC. Have to avoid the manned checkouts as their system blocks it but I have to wait 10 minutes to process the self service machines. At the price of saving $50 instead of paying straight from CC for faster processing, each has to decide their value on time. I kill time by sharing the loophole with the WW self service staff and they want to do it as well.

Worth remembering Dr Ralph's advice when doing the time calculations that all savings are tax-free

The more you do this type of thing the quicker these opportunities get shut down. Providing information on this forum is one level, but directly informing staff is just asking for things to be shut down.

It's times like this that I'm thankful for the AFF members who discretely communicate these types of opportunities/experiences by PM. I hope that this practice continues and that I can, in time, repay some of the generous tips that I have received.

Finally found some cards, not in Sydney CBD but in ADL. :)
Stood at the counter for about 15mins before the machine spat out the activation slips.

I bought a few only 1 visa gift cards today. Can't see any Woolworths points ... Can anyone confirm they've received Ooi ts for these gift card purchases?
