In light of the recent withdrawal of Chauffeur Drive (CD) service on LAX and DFW routes, I am here musing the Q 'what can QF withdraw without notice / compensation / obligation etc...?'

Would the next item be the J/F amenity kit .... because 'the uptake is low / you had been here before / there is not much in it .....,?

Or would that be the turn down service in J ?

It's a tongue in cheek commentary about what QF can do without triggering a legal / compensation case.

Over to you !

I think there is potentional for alot more cutbacks. Lets not mention them or QF Management might steal our ideas !!

Premium Boarding, an easy reversal with minimal impact.

Struggle to see any savings there

I have the answer that is simple and very easy to implement, and will save company millions in future revenue losses and stem the customer loyalty exodus

Replace the management for someone who has a clue, the lack of creativity and innovation of this current pack is depressing.

What about QF removing their corporate box at the MCG !!!
Some of these boxes can cost $250k upwards depending on size and QF's isnt small. Lets just say $500,000 p/a. Gee, Mr Joyce there is $1 mill in 2 years. I wouldnt class a corporate box as an assett. It is a luxury. A little bit like Chauffuer Drive - It was a little bit of luxury. Remove CD, then remove your corporate box !!!!
AFL gave QF the flick and started using VA, so remove anything to do with the AFL altogther.

Mods, oh, please close the thread!

We know 'certain people' report back to QF about loopholes etc discussed on AFF. Lets not give them any ideas.

The answer to the thread question is most obvious - devaluation of points value just prior to the spin off.

An immediate cost savings could be the removal of free alcohol in economy class.

How?

Question to focus groups 'would you like Qantas to focus on improving strategies to combat jet lag?'
Answer 'yes please'.
Spin: our passengers have indicated a strong preference for jet-lag minimisation. To provide a relaxed cabin environment, and remove aspects which can lead to jet-lag, we will no longer be offering complimentary alcoholic beverages in the economy cabin'.

Removal of J class PJs.

Question: would you prefer a choice of 'one size fits all' PJs, or PJs which are better designed to fit you personally?'
Answer: 'that sounds great!'
Spin: passengers have indicated current sizing of PJs are not suitable for all passengers. Passengers are welcome to bring their own sleep items more tailored to their needs.

Domestic IFE - ipads

Question: do you have any suggestions to improve the current ipad offering on domestic services?
Answer: 'sure! sound quality could be improved, better head-sets provided, and a better range of programs!'
Spin: Passenger feedback has confirmed a number of areas needing improvement in relation to ipads. We value this feedback and will temporarily suspend this service while we focus on alternative means. Newspapers will continue to be available at the boarding gate.

And so on...

Double Like !

A 'surcharge' surcharge. With the fuel surcharge, day of the week surcharge, route surcharge, credit card surcharge etc, it must cost QF a fair bit to charge all of these surcharges (IT, the cost of the people coming up with the surcharge ideas etc).
