I intended international roaming using bigpond but have heard that it is too expensive.
I was told I should purchase a mobile card when I arrive in Europe. I would rather do the homework before I go.
Anyone know where to go to buy (before I travel) and the best deals on wireless mobile cards which will cover Ireland, England and Europe.
Thanks

if for a mobile phone you can buy a sim card either prepaid or post paid in europe. make sure you unlock your phone.

if you are talking about wireless internet, i am hiring a usb prepaid unlimited wireless modem for israel. i am sure you can do this for other countries.

So many variables....

I have used my onboard 3G wireless on my X30? Thinkpad (I'm at dinner using my iPhone and don't remember the model OK!) in The US, Germany, Austria, France and England (also NZ) with no issues...

How long are you OS? Where are you going? Are you intending surfing or just email?

Starbucks, maccas, dunkin donuts to offer a few all have free wireless...

Good luck in your decissions, but for short term and low data usage, I have had no problems with int roaming, iPhone, that's another story...
