Windowless window seats on Virgin 737?

Hi all! I just made this account to ask for this specific question.
I am going from Adelaide to Sydney on Monday, back on Wednesday. Seat maps on both flights show the 737-800 refreshed (?) with 174 econ seats. I paid for seat 11A and 9A respectively. After some research seat 11A seems to be windowless? Not sure about 9A either. Could anyone confirm this for me? Thanks a lot.

There are air-conditioning ducts that result in missing windows. On most aircraft it is 9A that has no window, but on specific aircraft (such as ex Silkair aircraft) 8A or 11A could be missing.

I want to change but it can't be changed online before check in? Check in online starts soon. Idk if I would have to check at counter or online to change seats

Can’t answer the question, however the page I found says there’re 3 different seat-maps for Virgin Oz 737-800’s & another for the 737-8 … and only one of those 3 appears to have row 11 lining-up with no window.

This site, if it helps: Seat map of Virgin Australia Boeing 737-800 aircraft

So comparing those maps to the layout for the flight you’re on, you may be able to find out whether it’s one that has no window there?

PS. I’ve been lucky with the approach of choosing seats near the back of the ‘plane, with Virgin. Then if they use the rear door, you get off a lot more quickly than if you choose seats near the front (because everyone chooses near the front so someone else has always chosen seats before you do). It’s a bit of a gamble, because maybe they won’t use the rear doors for whatever reason, which can mean you end-up fighting for carry-on storage space as well as being last to get off.

Here is an exterior picture which corresponds to your screenshot

As others have said, there are variations in the VA 737 fleet
I would say 10A is windowless as the window is a little behind 10A. At least 11A has the window ahead of the seat
