Wilson One - Free 1000 Velocity Points

Just wondering of anyone has actually succeeded in signing up to Wilson One? The signup process is less than impressive.....

I get the following message trying to login after sign-up:

I'm assuming the account application needs to be manually reviewed by someone - they did place a $0.01 charge on my credit card as part of the registration process.

+1. I did get an email - that was to give a verification code so I could register an account. Certainly wasn't straight forward process and less than impressed. Completely agree with your last sentence. Then at some stage, we ned to include our VA FF number in the full account set-up process to bag the $50 voucher and 1K sign-up bonus.

Haven't checked again on ozbargain recently but when I last looked no one had been actually able to setup their account.
 
Got the email from Virgin this afternoon - bit behind the times they are. Gives me the same landing page as in ozbargains as well. Lets see where tour application takes us. I did note the small print:

Application must be completed received and an agreement signed (in the case of monthly parkers) before April 30 for credit and bonus points to apply. Bonus offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers. $50 bonus credit will expire 6 months after card is activated. Members will not be eligible to earn Velocity Points when using the $50 credit.

i did get as far as entering velocity number. on the next page it asked for credit card/bank details. didn't go any further as haven't had a chance to read t&cs yet
 
I can't even get past the password creation! I've tried every combination using the criteria they request, but it just won't allow me to move past this step.

Losing interest - faster than I could earn 1000 points in a shoe shop.................
 
managed to setup a account... but when i logged in the first time it says account not ready
 
Missed when i login end less loop of session expired

tried IE / Edge / Chrome / Firefox all have session expired

Ran out of password combinations. I have now abandoned the application and will wait for a response to my rather curt email. Good luck everyone else :D

So does that mean that will only gain points and credit if you commit to an ongoing cost?
 
What a complete disaster. Spending money on all this trying to attract customers and then you get this for a sign-up process. The ONLY reason I might persist is for some free points. Certainly not interested in a company that gives this kind of customer experience.

:evil: It's tempting to one day set up a website for a dodgy fly-by-nite company and put up a "Joining Bonus Offer" of, say, 10,000 points on signup ... post the link on ozbargain, of course ... and then make the signup process literally impossible (and absurdly slow)! :shock:

... endless grief and moaning all round ... "I didn't get my free points for doing nothing!" :evil:

If I read the T&Cs correctly, by default you sign up for casual parking, which is billed in arrears, and either charged to your credit card or paid by direct debit.

I think you can opt into a monthly contract.

But who knows.....
