Hi,

I booked the following for my parents which has a 2:20 layover in AUH and was wondering if Etihad can check bags all the way through for both bookings. They have separate PNRs.

LHR AUH Economy Dep LHR 09:30 Arrives AUH at 19:25 on VA miles

They are then connecting to a flight booked on AA miles
AUH MEL Business Dep AUH 21:45 Arr MEL 17:20

Can Etihad check them in for both flights and check the bags through to Melbourne?

Thanks,
Paul

If they are on EY metal you should be able to book all the way through from LHR regardless of separate PNR's. I do it all the time, however using two rewards program/points is new to me, but why would it matter. Give EY a call but if on EY metal for both flights I would say they have no problem.

I've checked through baggage on different airline partners on different PNRs. I think it comes down to being prepared with all the information, PNRs, flight numbers, airport codes, and getting a checkin agent with the experience and patience to marry it all up. Be nice and they will be accommodating.

Etihad will check bags through on two different PNRs booked through two different frequent flyer programmes. I've done this many times.
