Will BA check in bags for EK connection?

Hey Folks,

I'm flying with BA from LHR to DUB later this week, and then catching the EK flight from DUB > BNE (via DXB). The EK flight is booked through Qantas.

My question is, will BA allow me to check my bags in LHR all the way through to BNE? These are separate, unrelated bookings. Any insights welcome.

Whilst BA has an interline agreement with EK, I don't think this applies to separate bookings. As your QF ticket is on EK, One World interline agreements don't apply either.
I think you will have to collect in DUB and re-check.

I doubt it. BA wouldn't even check me in to a connecting QF ex DXB flight on the same ticket last year.

A little different, but some optimism for you... I had success last week with bags checked through on CDG-xLHR-xDXB-SIN. CDG-LHR was on BA on a separate ticket to LHR-xDXB-SIN, where EK operated the DXB-SIN segment (though on a QF flight number). BA check-in tagged my bags through to SIN, but were only able to issue BPs for the first 2 legs. I collected BP for DXB-SIN while in LHR.
