Hi All, I use Scoot as a cheap means to travel directly from Qld to Singapore. I noticed that Scoot has flight availability up to Oct 2022 but nothing beyond.

The agents on the chat did not know why or have an answer as to when the flights will be released.

Do you know why as there parent coy Singapore Air has released theirs. Thanks

If I remember correctly Scoot always seemed to have shorter booking timeframes that most airlines, although 6 months does seem a bit on the short side. During the pandemic, they had even shorter timeframes - some routes only being released a month or two in advance.

Something else to note, the airline world typically schedules in advance in two seasons, northern winter and northern summer. The northern winter seasons starts on the last Sunday on October. I notice Scoot is selling until the day before that, so maybe they just haven't finalised their northern Winter schedule yet.

There's a similar issue with SQ and the northern summer timetable for 2023, they are selling seats up until the day before that timetable comes into effect (last Sunday in March), but none after.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Well at least Scoot saw out the Queensland Government AAIF 'taxpayer' (partially funded) contract, which I'm assuming it was a 18 month contract. Started early 2022, finishes up mid 2023.
