Why does Sixt ask if I've rented from them before every time?

Very curious about this interaction every time.

Can't they see from my account that I've rented from them multiple times? Isn't it better to say "welcome back" to the customer just like what the airlines and hotels do?

If you say NO when you have, do they then rattle off some verification questions?

I had this with RedSpot and I assumed they are trying to confirm I’m not a crook about to steal a car, which going off a recent hire, was advised fraud/theft with hire cars has apparently skyrocketed.

RedSpot asked me did I hire recently which I said Yes, they then wanted to confirm when/where was the last rental.

Interesting...

I haven't said no yet, but i wanted to say can't you see it in my profile? Does that sound too rude?
