A bit out of left field, but I guess it is travel related. I was recently asked, why we wear clothes. The enquirer told me he wore clothes as they were expected, but his preference was to not (tropical, close to equatorial).
I thought about this, and I considered mosquito protection may be a good reason, but most clothes do not protect against mosquito bite. Going right back to colonisation, the freezing weather of the home countries likely caused a habit which became an expectation, to the extreme in cases, but in hot, stifling climates why, apart from modesty, are clothes still an expectation? Let's face it, there just two types of human, female and male, so if we know what each looks like naked, there are no secrets, so why do we continue to wear clothes in all circumstances?
