Why are flights on 11 April between Melbourne and Sydney so expensive?

Hi there

First time posting so hopefully I'm in the correct spot. Would anyone have any insight into why flights from Melbourne to Sydney on 11 April are so much more expensive than every other day? This applies to all airlines, and has been like this for several weeks.

The F1 Grand Prix is in Melbourne and the race is on that Sunday. People going home the next day.

I literally was looking at the same day and wondering why awards were so sparse! OK, that makes sense.
